The document discusses universal design and anthropometrics. It provides measurements and dimensions for various types of ambulant and non-ambulant people to help ensure design is accessible for all. These include measurements for able-bodied men and women, elderly, children, wheelchair users with different abilities, as well as dimensions for wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility aids. The goal is to use anthropometric data to design spaces and products that are usable by people of all ages and abilities.

STATURE OF ABLE-BODIED MAN
The normal distribution curve, drawn to scale on the x and y axes, shows the
sharp inclines there are between around the 1st percentile and the 5th, and
between around the 95th and the 99th. The 99th, at 1930 mm, indicates that 1
adult man in 100 is taller than 6 ft 4 in; the 50th, at 1765 mm, that the average
height of an adult man is 5 ft 9 in; and the 1st, at 1600 mm, that 1 adult man in
100 is shorter than 5 ft 3 in.
AMBULANT DISABLED PEOPLE’S AID
