This document introduces WordPress and several related projects. It describes WordPress as a state-of-the-art publishing platform used by millions that is easy to install, customizable, and open source. WordPress MU allows hosting many blogs with shared user accounts and administration. BbPress is a powerful lightweight forum system that can integrate with WordPress. BuddyPress creates a social network using WordPress MU and plugins. BackPress and GlotPress are shared code libraries and translation tools built on WordPress principles.
