Outline and explain The Ricardian Equivalence Theorem and assess the evidence bearing on it.
The Ricardian Equivalence Theorem, developed by David Ricardo and advanced by Robert Barrow in the 19th century, suggests that taking into
account the government budget constraint a budget deficit will have no effect on national saving– the sum of private and public saving, in an
economy. In this essay I am going to explain the reasoning behind this, assess its likelihood and finally review evidence either supporting or opposing
the theorem.
In an economy, if government spending exceeds government revenues, borrowing money (for example by issuing government bonds or increasing
taxation) can finance the deficit.

In gas chromatography, the components of the sample, (which can be called solutes or analytes), separate between two phases – a stationary phase that
has a large surface area and a gas phase that permeates through the stationary surface (McNair & Miller, 1998). The technique begins when a few
microliters of liquid sample are injected into a port and it becomes vaporized to a gas in the chamber. This starts the mobile phase (also known as the
carrier gas). Then, an inert carrier gas is fed into the injection port chamber containing the sample in gas form, and pushes the gas molecules through
(HuМ€bschmann, 2001). It is important that the carrier gas is inert so that it doesn't react with the different molecules of the sample we are trying to
separate. Once in this first chamber, it begins to heat and travel through a long coiled tube called a gas chromatography (GC) column.
The next stop on the coiled column is the detector, which identifies the amount of each compound is present in our sample. There are a series of
factors that affect the rate at which compounds reach the detector which will be described in the following sections, but for now it is important to
note that the lower boiling point and the less molecular weight, the faster the sample components will separate and migrate to the detector (McNair &

Looking at my graph i can come to a conclusion that the left side of my graph is going upward so F(x) is approching positive infinity. The left side
isnt pointing upward or downward so i had to look at my equation to determine what f(x) is. Since the leading coefficient is negative the right side of
the graph is going down , so f(x) approches negative infinity.
Local extrema is basically all local maximums and minimums on a functions graph. Local extrema occurs at criticla points on the graph where the
derivative is zero or undefined. To find the exact number of a local extrema using your polynomial , first find the first derivative of f using the
power rule. Then you will set the derivative to zero and solve for x. The values you get are the critical points which is also your local extrema. To
find the local extrema in your calculator all you have to do is enter the equation into Y=. Then hit GRAPH and look for the max value first. To find
the max value just go to calculate and choose maximum. Then move your cursor to the left when they ask you for left bound and hit enter and it will

consumers respond to change in prices can be measured by concept of price elasticity of demand. Sloman (2003, p.44) defined the price elasticity
of demand as 'responsiveness of quantity demanded to a change in price' and the formula for price elasticity of demand is 'percentage change in
quantity demanded divided by the percentage change in price'. A product is said to be elastic when the value of the price elasticity of demand is
more than one, inelastic when the value is less than one and equal to one when price and quantity demanded change by the same proportion.
Therefore, when price elasticity of demand for a product is elastic, the quantity demanded changes sharply in response to small changes in the price
of the product as illustrated in Figure 1(b). However, when price elasticity of demand for a product is inelastic or perfectly inelastic, the quantity
demanded will only changes modestly or none at all when the price level of the product changes substantial as illustrated in Figure 1(c) and 1(a).
