Evaluation Of A Management Development Program
Management Development Program
As stated in the Hall Lecture Five, development is the "effort to improve an employees' abilities to
handle a variety of assignments & to cultivate employees' capabilities beyond those required by the
current job" (2016). In order for a management development program to be effective, a performance
management and performance appraisal system should be developed or created. A performance
management system "should be consistent with the strategic mission of the organization, beneficial
as a development tool, useful as an administrative tool, legal & job–related, viewed as generally fair
by employees, and effective in documenting employee performance" (Belhaven University, 2016).
Firstly, understanding the difference between performance management and performance appraisal
is key when developing and comparing a management development program. Performance
management is a "series of activities designed to ensure the organization gets the performance it
needs from its employees (Belhaven University, 2016). Performance appraisal is a "process of
determining how well employees do their jobs relative to a standard & communicating that
information to them" (Belhaven University, 2016). The appraisal performance system should
include "category scaling methods, graphic rating scales, comparative methods, narrative methods,
and management by objectives or MBO (Belhaven University, 2016).

Evaluation Plan For Training And Development Program
Training and development is a key component to any organization's current and future success. By
fostering a learning oriented organization, you are creating a culture and environment that will
deliver high quality service and products, anticipate and prepare for the future needs of the
organization, and increase both customer and employee satisfaction. Training and development must
be supported by the Human Resource function, and utilized by senior management to drive staffing
strategy and decisions, performance management, and meet operational goals. In order for the
training and development program to be successful at all levels, it must be properly designed,
implemented, and evaluated. Below, we will discuss the seven steps of the training design process to
demonstrate the best practices and organizational importance of a strong training and development
program.
The seven steps of the training design process are: a needs assessment, ensuring employee readiness
for training, creating a learning environment, ensuring the transfer of training, developing an
evaluation plan, selecting a training method, and monitoring and evaluating the program (Noe,
2013, p. 11). Starting with the needs assessment, it consists of "three elements: organizational
analysis, person analysis, and task analysis" (Noe, 2013, p. 121). Organizational analysis "is
concerned with identifying whether training suits the company's strategic objectives, and whether
the company has the budget, time, and

growth in the business of Global Investment has made management of the company to make
decision on the development of software program that could be used daily by customers. Problem
Analysis To enhance the delivery of the software program, Global Investment met a software
developer to provide the software code, and during the project implementation, there were series of
problems that occurred which nearly led to the project breakdown. Typically, there were series of
misunderstanding regarding the project requirements, and management could not stick to the
decision with regard to the project requirements. Moreover, management of Global Investment
constantly changes their decisions concerning the project requirements and the deadline set for the
project was unreliable. Several other problems emancipated when the software developer delivered
the project. First, a quality issue appeared during the project implementation. The functionality of
the system delivered was not compatible to the business requirements. Moreover, the time frame
allotted to the testing of the program was very short. During software testing, there were series of

Development Of A Mentoring Program
Hybrid Assignment 3
In today's volatile business world, it is vital for organizations to engage employees both
intellectually and emotionally. Through mentoring, employees identify themselves as a vital part of
the organization while creating a heightened level of ownership. Mentoring programs are of great
value to any company. In most cases, these programs are considered essential. By developing and
implementing a mentoring program, the learning process for employees is accelerated. It is said that
mentoring "can accomplish things that training cannot" (Johnson). Even though, developing a
mentoring program is not an easy task, the benefits outweigh the challenges. A mentoring program
will help alleviate high employee turnover and assist in building a pipeline of diverse employees.
The development of a mentoring program begins by deciding on whether it should be a formal or
informal program. On one hand, a formal mentoring program includes 1. Connection to a strategic
business objective of the organization 2. Established goals 3. Measurable outcomes 4. Expert
training and support 4. Direct organizational benefits and 5. Mentoring engagements lasting 9–12
months ("Business mentoring matters", 2012). On the other hand, an informal mentoring program
includes: 1. Unspecified goals 2. Unknown outcomes 3. Self–selection of mentors and mentees 4.
No expert training or support 5. Long–term mentorship and 6. Indirect organizational benefits
("Business mentoring matters", 2012).

Clear associations between nutritional deficiencies and psychosocial effects have been made.
However, the results of the study indicated malnutrition impact on development of infants and
toddlers was unknown, but malnutrition in children led to iron–deficiency anemia (Skalicky et al.,
2006). An additional study focused on the iron–deficiency concern that exists among low–income
toddlers in the United States (Crowel et al., 2005). Even though the prevalence of iron–deficiency
anemia has declined in the last three to four decades, it continues to be a major health concern for
low–income infants and toddlers in the United States (Crowel et al., 2005). Research has connected
iron–deficiency in early childhood with an increased risk for developmental delays (Crowel et al.,
2005). Most clinicians reported that all parents were advised to orally give medication to children
with anemia; however for low–income families administering iron was not a priority (Crowel et al.,
2005). Iron deficiency anemia was seen as a minor issue for many low–income parents, because it is
a struggle for them to even financially support their families and ultimately parents regularly have
the means to provide the medication for their children (Crowel et al., 2005). Not only does research
support that iron deficiency causes delays for young children, but some previous research also
suggests other health risks may link to development. Welsch,

Introduction Of A Mobile Development Program
Introducing Cluster Development Programme in Bangladesh Bangladesh is one of the most
promising emerging economies in South Asia. The averaged GDP growth of the country is 6. 5%
which has been largely driven by its exports, remittance and agricultural sectors. Recently,
manufacturing industry and service sectors are growing rapidly and the involvement in farming is
decreasing. Bangladesh has a lucrative opportunity to become one of the leading economic powers
in Asia by properly utilising its cheap labour and geographical position. Bangladesh is the pioneer in
introducing microfinance in the world. Eventually, it encouraged the many micro and small

So this is the high time for the government, different organisations like the Bangladesh Bank,

institutions in Bangladesh also can contribute to the CDP through conducting comprehensive
research and by organising continuous development programmes. Recently, I got a call from an
employee of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industry Corporation (BSCIC). He shared a problem
with me that he found some lentil producers from the BSCIC industry area who are struggling to
survive in the market because their sales are going down and some of them are thinking to wind–up
their businesses. So he asked me for sharing some solutions considering their problems. I replied to
him that the lentil producers can create marketing consortia by doing which they can increase their
sales initially. Before that, they have to maintain a standard quality of their products so that they can
sell the produced lentils by a common brand locally and nationally maintaining the same quality.
They can also decrease the cost of the production and packaging as the volume will be huge
altogether. Later I also added some other recommendations which they can think to work with in the
long run like technological

The Impact Of Standard Bank On The Development Informatics...
This essay will consider Standard bank as one of the organisations which have been visited during
the development informatics programs student field trip in January 2017. The essay is in four parts,
which provide the information about organisation's background, problems that occurred in it, what
should be indicated for the future research and how it could be done.
1. Background
Standard bank is one of the core banks in South Africa, which was formed in 1862. It operates
throughout different countries in the world with more than 45 000 employees working for it. This
wide geographical allocation is reflected in its strategy to connect capitals and people of these
markets (Standard bank, 2015).
Standard Bank has a mission to make a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, despite such a positive intention, there are problems in the process of its implementation
as CRM part of the SAP platform has not been implemented so far, thus nowadays Standard bank
are not able to achieve stated goals (Ferley, 2017). Therefore the further research is needed to be
conducted to identify why it is happening in such a way.
2. Research Problem Statement
The research problem could be considered as a gap between the desired SAP platform
implementation indicators and the current ones.
During the process of SAP implementation Standard Bank was faced with an escalation of the
project's time frame and budget. Initially launched in 2007, the project was restarted in 2010. At the
moment of the field trip in January 2017, it has been postponed to the third quarter of 2017, which
means the escalation of the overall project's schedule in 40 percent and budget in 2,25 times (from R
8bn to R 18bn) (Ferley, 2017).
However, nowadays we still are not able to predict the real outcome of the project– whether it will
be a success or a failure and why.
The SAP implementation project team has investigated major problems when they initially have
been dealing with a waterfall approach, for example, the out–of–date information about system
requirements, wrong resources allocation and isolated business process. Therefore, they shifted to
the agile approach, suggesting it will cope with the arisen difficulties more efficiently (Ferley,
2017).

Structural Adjustment Programs And Its Impact On Ghana 's...
The 1900s was a time when developed nations flourished through the exploitation of the global
south, creating a structure that places developed nations as the key players of the world. Although
colonialism came to an end just after the Second World War, it gave birth to a new system called
neoliberalism, which encompasses a new form of colonialism. This saw the introduction of
transnational institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Trade Organization
(WTO), and the World Bank. These institutions applied neoliberal policies with the goal of pursuing
progress for the global south. These Policies were referred to as structural adjustment programs
(SAPS). This paper will argue that neoliberal structural adjustment ... Show more content on

These policies were implemented in the Global South such as Ghana, who was one of the first
African countries to undergo reforms under the Provision National Defence Council (PNDC)
regime. The human development index is measurement used to assess countries based on three
categories: life expectancy, education and gross national income per capita (UNDP, 2014,p. 2).
According to the report by the Untied Nations Development Program, Ghana's HDI value is ranked
at 132 out of 187 countries in 2014. In a time period of 33 years from 1980 to 2013, Ghana's HDI
has been on a slow increase. Life expectancy increased by 8.8 years, years of schooling by 4.0 years
and the GNI by 62.2 percent (UNDP, 2014, p. 2). Such increase in a period of 32 years can be seen
as slow progress. In my opinion the introduction of structural adjustment policies have placed a
blockade on Ghana hindering its human and social development. The government has been focused
on repaying its debt to the IMF and World Bank to the point of where they have forgotten about the
well being of its citizens.

Implementing A Sustainable Development Stewardship Program
Introduction
Loblaws operates throughout Canada and is of one the largest food retailers in the country. Loblaws
operates 1,142 grocery stores and has 27 distribution centers alongside their operations (Loblaw,
2014). This company has a large influence on the Canadian economy, employing more than 195,000
people (Loblaw, 2014). Loblaws sells a large selection of products including groceries, household
items, baby products, pharmaceuticals, cell phones, general merchandise, and financial services
(Loblaw, 2014). It is necessary for a company of this size to be aware of external stakeholders
because these groups may have either positive or negative impacts on the livelihood of the business.
Stakeholder identification is a key step in the determination of the issues and the development of a
remediation plan to address the issues. Key issues that stakeholders identified include product
delivery, energy efficiency, and inventory management. These issues can be addressed by
incorporating a sustainable development stewardship program through integrating environmental,
social, and economic aspects into the company.
Identification of External Stakeholders
External stakeholders are defined as "groups outside a business or people who are not directly
working within the business but are affected in some way from the decisions of the business"
(Boundless, 2015). Stakeholders can have diverse levels of involvement in the organization and

When creating a training program for an organization, ensuring the well–being of the employees are
considered so they are able to deliver the most valuable outcomes with their jobs by being
successful and perform at a high level of performance. (Treven, 2015) This can lead to further
advancements as leaders, supervisors or management. Along with the advancements, this is also a
platform for less absences or turnovers and a better reputation in the work field to attract better
inquiries from potential employees. (Treven, 2015) Cultural diversity management programs aim to
bring awareness and skill–based training. The purpose of this training is to show the diverse groups
within an organization which can improve the productivity between employees. This training will
also help management understand and value each one of their employees and differences they may
have. Cultural diversity training is designed to show how diversity, we all are and bring awareness
of the issues in the workplace and help them to recognize underlining issues. (Treven, 2015)
Diversity may be a source of problem solving which is combined with experience and knowledge
that plays a role in the transformation of the existing knowledge we have with the training program.

The Program For Leadership Development
For this assessment, the industry is defined as the handful of top business schools within the world
that provide elite MBA degrees to Executives. The Harvard Business School (HBS) has developed a
novel Business Model Innovation (BMI), by creating an alternative to the traditional Executive
MBA (EMBA) format entitled the "Program for Leadership Development" (PLD). Deviating from
typical Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC's), the PLD is an intensive 28–week program that

Leadership And Leadership Development Programs
While there are obvious advantages to leadership development programs, plenty of organisations are
still not convinced about implementing them. The organisations tend to quote the following three as
the main cause for concern: takes long to implement, it adds additional cost, and ineffective results.
The program takes long to implement
Perhaps the strongest argument against leadership development programs is the time it takes to
properly implement one. An effective program is not something a company can achieve overnight,
especially in terms of when the benefits become apparent. A 2013 survey by Brandon Hall Group,
entitled Leadership Development Benchmarking, showed that only 18% of leadership development
programs in place for fewer than two years were considered to provide effective results. The
percentage increased to 38% when the programs were in place over five years. Therefore, the
programs are not a quick fix to company problems and the benefits are not short–term advantages.
The program adds additional costs
Companies always need to consider the bottom line and any additional costs must always be
carefully considered. Therefore, leadership development programs tend to cause concern for
organisations because they can be seen as another avoidable or unnecessary cost. If you consider the
point above about the benefits taking a long–time to kick in, organisations can be wary of the initial
cost. A study from 2012 showed how American companies spent nearly $14 billion

Leadership And Leadership Development Programs
Leadership development is defined as formal and informal training and professional development
programs designed for all management and executive–level employees to assist in developing the
required leadership skills and styles to deal with a variety of situations (Human Resources, 2011). A
lack of effective leadership development programs usually comes from organizations thinking that
senior managers need continuous training and development. However, great leadership development
is essential to all employees and managers in an organization. Executive mangers are important to
the success of any business but, building leadership skills on all levels can develop a culture of
employees ready to take on leadership roles at any time. In my organization, we develop and hone
leadership skills by focusing on team intelligence, managing up and down, succession planning, and
performance problem solving. The building and leading of teams impacts the outcome of
organizational objective and can support the emergence of leaders. It is a tremendous benefit for
teams to understand and acknowledge the strengths and challenges of each members, as well as a
mission and roadmap with agreed upon boundaries. Leaders that have high levels of emotional
intelligence (EQ) are aware their team's intelligence and know how to use EQ to sharpen leadership
skills among their team. Emotional intelligence (EQ) is defined as a person's self–awareness, self

Software Development : Developing A New Program
In the world of software development, the term agile typically refers to any approach to project
management that strives to unite teams around the principles of collaboration, flexibility, simplicity,
transparency, and responsiveness to feedback throughout the entire process of developing a new
program or product. And agile testing generally means the practice of testing software for bugs or
performance issues within the context of an agile workflow.
Agile testing is a software testing practice that follows the principles of agile software development.
It follows the rules of the agile manifesto, treating software development as the customer of testing
and thus involves testing from the customer perspective as early as possible, testing early and often
as code becomes available and stable enough from module/unit level testing. Since working

Agile testing involves all members of a cross–functional agile team, with special expertise
contributed by testers. This is done to ensure the delivery of the business value desired by the

Supplier Development Programs
With an evolving and highly competitive market, firms are seeking more innovative ways to create
value and improve efficiency. Historically firms have tried to improve internal processes through
housekeeping but in the recent past this have changed and attention has centred on the management
of the firm's supply activities. Open markets and a "flat world "as Thomas Friedman (2005)
explains, has seen many new entrepreneurs boom with business ideas that step aside the
conventional methods of business. Reduced effort and time from conception till marketing, sales are

Effectively a thriving outsourcing empire through a well formed and highly personalised supply
chain management. I can see this company has implemented Kraljic matrix to the fullest, since the
crux of the business for PCH International involves sourcing different types of suppliers with
different backgrounds in multiple production lines to be brought together in harmony to produce the
most efficient and effective way to produce. Only by making sure every supplier is innovative and
entrepreneur driven as the producer; PCH can make sure there is high productivity and efficient
supplier's driving cost of supply to the minimum and maximising impact on business. This is
especially important, considering, almost all of PCH International's clients are budding
entrepreneurs. An example of success through this form of supplier portfolio management is
"Chumby" Accessed (2011). PCH also has to make sure multiple suppliers work together by
exploiting the purchasing power and reducing asset specificity on critical components. Scales of
economy is achieved by utilising unused and available production space at multiple suppliers so that
there is efficient processing. Extend of industry PCH specialises in guarantees a lesser risk of
supplier dependency for their clients. Geographical difference also is an advantage of operating

It was Paul Bearer who answered the phone: Ray: "Your telephone message about an error in your
tender was a waste of time. You can't change the rules. The best you can do is to withdraw" Paul:
"OK, we withdraw our first tender but out corrected price still stands" Ray: "No, it doesn't. It would
be most unfair to change your price after the official deadline. I shall ignore both of your prices"
Paul: "I'll send my amended price direct to Gerry Hatrick. He'll understand that we have made a

The conversation ended. GH was overseas and could not be contacted. Ray therefore decided to put

Youth Development Programs
Youth Development Programs – Historical Development of Youth Development Programs, Youth
Development Programs in the Early Twenty–First Century Youth development programs seek to
improve the lives of children and adolescents by meeting their basic physical, developmental, and
social needs and by helping them to build the competencies needed to become successful adults.
Examples of youth development programs include community service, mentoring programs, and
neighborhood youth centers. It is unclear exactly how many youth development programs are
operating in the United States in the early twenty–first century. In 1998 the Internal Revenue Service
identified more than 5,700 nonprofit organizations–almost 3 percent of all charitable ... Show more

Poor families resented having their children sent so far away, and eventually the western states
complained about what they perceived to be the dumping of thousands of delinquent and needy
children each year. The economic shift from an agrarian society to an industrial society reduced the
need for child labor on farms and further doomed this movement. Brace's conviction that family life
was best for children and youth, however, continues to influence services for children to this day.
The first half of the twentieth century brought growing interest in the problem of juvenile
delinquency. Investigation done by Dr. William Healy's Juvenile Psychopathic Institute led to the
realization that the problem of delinquent children was not limited to the poorest classes. Further,
delinquency was increasingly viewed as resulting from numerous factors, with the most prevalent
being the lack of parental discipline resulting from the loss of one or both parents. Concurrently, it
was becoming increasingly clear that efforts to punish offending youth did not deter future criminal
action and that many of the youth who left institutions often returned. As a result, interest shifted to
finding ways to treat troubled youth, rather than merely punish them, and led to the creation of the
juvenile court system, which separated juvenile and adult offenders and focused on rehabilitation
and cure. The first juvenile court law was enacted in Illinois in 1899, and by 1919 all but

Television Programs Can Support And Facilitate Language...
For many years, parents have relied on using educational programs to teach and engage their
children with new concepts and materials. Conversely, many children have also used television as an
opportunity for learning and language development. For example, the rise of television programs
like Elmo Street and Teletubbies demonstrates this upward trend of substituting media sources for
teaching and learning. However, despite the increasing support from parents toward television
programs, many researchers have mixed reviews on putting our children into viewing long hours of
what they considered unnecessary learning. Thus in what follows of this paper, I will focus on
explaining how television programs can support and facilitate language development. Moreover, I
will also discuss the mixed literacy support for using television as a learning tool and finally, I will
conduct a study that measures, specifically, the relationship between watching educational TV and
learning novel words. Hopefully, with these measures, I will be able to find supporting evidence that
proves educational TV can be a good predictor for word learning.
Through the years, one continuous point of debate has been whether educational TV can facilitate
and improve word learning in children. Many studies on this debate have found distinct and mixed
research outcomes. For example, one study has been Mabel's Rice Word from Sesame Street, in

Establishing A Leadership Development Program
Introduction
"When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, But when a wicked man rules, people groan"
Proverbs 19:2 (Dake's Annontated Reference Bible). No one is ever happy when they have to work
for a bad leader whether it is because they are evil or due to a lack of knowledge about leading
others. This is a major problem inside of the fleet department at Entergy and will need to be
addressed by the creation of an adequate leadership development plan. This paper will talk about
establishing a leadership development program its strategies and objectives as well as the
participants who will participate in the program.
Leadership development program Leadership development is a way of teaching others through
social learning processes how to interact appropriately with others, create relationships, delegate and
coordinate activities, create bonds with others in the organization while learning what organizational
resources are available (Getha–Taylor, Fowles, Silvia, & Merritt, 2015). Entergy's Fleet
Development Leadership program is essential to the continued success of not only Entergy, but also
to the fleet department. The plan will focus on improving current leader's ability to lead others while
training employees to become future servant leaders. It will focus on developing servant leader's
skills in a variety of areas such as compassion and sensitivity, composure adaptability, managing
change, being self–aware and being able to develop and use strategic

If reports indicate that customers are purchasing a greater variety of products per customer, Kudler
can grow their market by selling more products to the existing customer base and has achieved
greater customer loyalty and satisfaction. Another success measure would be reports indicating
greater customer shopping frequency. Customer satisfaction can be gauged by a number of
indicators including fewer customer complaints, less product returns, a greater number of customer
referrals, and a greater number of referrals per customer. An increase in customer requests for new
products or services would demonstrate greater customer interest. Customer satisfaction and brand
name awareness can also be gauged through either in–store or internet based surveys. One of the
most important metrics of success is profitability. Although profitability cannot be guaranteed by
any new initiative, as long as Kudler has been profitable in the past and has not changed any major
factors that would affect its profitability such as item costs, etc., then theoretically if their customers
are making more purchases due to the Customer Rewards program then profits should increase.
Demonstrating the success of an initiative like Kudler's Customer Rewards program can help Kudler

Positive Youth Development Programs
A positive youth development program is designed to help young adults overcome their challenges
and live up to their full potential. Youth development is emphasized through different activities
which helps the youth emotionally, physically, and socially. Youth development programs are
basically used to help them regain confidence, and how to bounce back to a normal life. My
program name is Helping Hands, which will be based on abused youth in African American public
schools. The motto for my program is "Not all hands are helpful, but our hands are guaranteed life
changers." When organizing a program knowing the population, how it works, and its essentials are
mandatory for a successful youth development program. The name of my youth development
program is called Helping Hands. This program will focus on abused youth in African American
public schools, grades 9th– 12th. This program will focus on these grades because a lot of the youth
feel like they can deal with things like this on their own. If needed, we also help any other youth
who aren't it in grades 9–12. The phrase "No child is left behind" not only counts for educational
purposes but also for my program, we're here to help anyone. This program will start nationally then
hopefully, make its way to international. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

lot of attention to these abused youth, because we don't want them to feel embarrassed, anymore
than they already are. Once out of the situation, we will not just forget about our youth, we will still

"In terms of organizational development, change occurs through deliberate efforts to improve the
organizational work climate and thus increasing individual productivity and organizational
performance" (Raţiu & Băban, 2012, 143). The HR advisor needs to work with the leadership
and managers to improve their leadership effectiveness and focus on customer service requirements
to professionally grow the organization.
Effective approach to organizational development An important approach in this situation is to
develop tasks that properly fit to each job. The information gathered from the interviews and
questionnaire is a helpful tool to achieve this objective. Having duty descriptions in place that
clarify employee's responsibilities will lessen the confusion of what is expected from them. In turn
employees will likely be more satisfied and are more motivated to achieve the organizational goal.
According to Diamantidis & Chatzoglou, 2011, "there is a relation between job satisfaction and
firm performance" (p. 1533). Improving job satisfaction will also improve the effectiveness these
employees have when representing the organization.

Rape And Social Development Programs
Introduction
Date Rape is the well–known act of persuaded, or potentially forced, unconsented sex with another
person. There are numerous explanations for why date rapes, or rapes in general, occur. As laid out
in some academic papers, prescribed cultural masculine ideologies may be the explanation for the
motive of the act. Merton and Durkeim's Strain Theory gives some bases in the explanation of this,
as pertaining the strain involved in achieving these ideologies (goals). Some initiatives by social
programs prevent rape crimes by educating men about the false masculinity portrayed to them and
to fight the culture surrounding it. Strain theory, as well as social learning theory, give some
explanation to why date rapes are committed and social development programs may be a
preventative. Specifically, what is date rape in legal terms and who does it involve?
Criminal/Deviant Behaviour
Rape is traditionally defined as 'the act of sexual intercourse committed by a man with a woman not
his wife and without her consent' (Anderson, 1997). In Canada, "rape was taken out of the Criminal
Code and replaced with "sexual assault". Sexual assault in Canada does not have a definitive
definition rather just assault that is sexual in nature. It is also split into three different levels of
charges: Common, weapon/bodily harm, and aggravated (Depending on the severity of bodily
harm). The sexual portion is just anything that relates to someone's sexual orientation. Date Rape as

My Virtual Child program basically covers physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
at several age levels. Various personalized questions were asked and given scenarios that would
shape my child's physical development, cognitive development, and affect his personality. My
Virtual Child has a unique set of characteristics at birth, some of which were influenced by how I
answered and completed the assessment when I first logged into My Virtual Child. These
characteristics gradually emerged and affected his behavior and development. When it was time, our
precious baby boy was born and we decided to name him Noah. Noah as a newborn was fussy and
often wanted to be held. Breastfeeding time seemed to be the perfect soothing method. I enjoyed
breastfeeding because it builds up his immune system. At this point Noah recognized me as his
primary care giver because I was the one always attending to his needs. According to Bowlby's
theory of attachment "The infant knows that the caregiver is dependable, which creates a secure
base for the child to then explore the world". As a result, Noah was more attached to me than he was
to my husband. As time transcurred, he was able to bond to my husband by spending more quality
time together. At 8 months, the physician performed a routine physical exam. He stated that Noah
was advanced in his gross and fine motor skills. Noah enjoyed crawling, pulling him self up to stand

  • 3. Evaluation Of A Management Development Program Management Development Program As stated in the Hall Lecture Five, development is the "effort to improve an employees' abilities to handle a variety of assignments & to cultivate employees' capabilities beyond those required by the current job" (2016). In order for a management development program to be effective, a performance management and performance appraisal system should be developed or created. A performance management system "should be consistent with the strategic mission of the organization, beneficial as a development tool, useful as an administrative tool, legal & job–related, viewed as generally fair by employees, and effective in documenting employee performance" (Belhaven University, 2016). Firstly, understanding the difference between performance management and performance appraisal is key when developing and comparing a management development program. Performance management is a "series of activities designed to ensure the organization gets the performance it needs from its employees (Belhaven University, 2016). Performance appraisal is a "process of determining how well employees do their jobs relative to a standard & communicating that information to them" (Belhaven University, 2016). The appraisal performance system should include "category scaling methods, graphic rating scales, comparative methods, narrative methods, and management by objectives or MBO (Belhaven University, 2016). • 5. Evaluation Plan For Training And Development Program Training and development is a key component to any organization's current and future success. By fostering a learning oriented organization, you are creating a culture and environment that will deliver high quality service and products, anticipate and prepare for the future needs of the organization, and increase both customer and employee satisfaction. Training and development must be supported by the Human Resource function, and utilized by senior management to drive staffing strategy and decisions, performance management, and meet operational goals. In order for the training and development program to be successful at all levels, it must be properly designed, implemented, and evaluated. Below, we will discuss the seven steps of the training design process to demonstrate the best practices and organizational importance of a strong training and development program. The seven steps of the training design process are: a needs assessment, ensuring employee readiness for training, creating a learning environment, ensuring the transfer of training, developing an evaluation plan, selecting a training method, and monitoring and evaluating the program (Noe, 2013, p. 11). Starting with the needs assessment, it consists of "three elements: organizational analysis, person analysis, and task analysis" (Noe, 2013, p. 121). • 11. Development Of A Mentoring Program Hybrid Assignment 3 In today's volatile business world, it is vital for organizations to engage employees both intellectually and emotionally. Through mentoring, employees identify themselves as a vital part of the organization while creating a heightened level of ownership. Mentoring programs are of great value to any company. In most cases, these programs are considered essential. By developing and implementing a mentoring program, the learning process for employees is accelerated. It is said that mentoring "can accomplish things that training cannot" (Johnson). Even though, developing a mentoring program is not an easy task, the benefits outweigh the challenges. A mentoring program will help alleviate high employee turnover and assist in building a pipeline of diverse employees. The development of a mentoring program begins by deciding on whether it should be a formal or informal program. On one hand, a formal mentoring program includes 1. Connection to a strategic business objective of the organization 2. Established goals 3. Measurable outcomes 4. Expert training and support 4. Direct organizational benefits and 5. Mentoring engagements lasting 9–12 months ("Business mentoring matters", 2012). On the other hand, an informal mentoring program includes: 1. Unspecified goals 2. Unknown outcomes 3. Self–selection of mentors and mentees 4. No expert training or support 5. Long–term mentorship and 6. Indirect organizational benefits ("Business mentoring matters", 2012). ... However, the results of the study indicated malnutrition impact on development of infants and toddlers was unknown, but malnutrition in children led to iron–deficiency anemia (Skalicky et al., 2006). An additional study focused on the iron–deficiency concern that exists among low–income toddlers in the United States (Crowel et al., 2005). Even though the prevalence of iron–deficiency anemia has declined in the last three to four decades, it continues to be a major health concern for low–income infants and toddlers in the United States (Crowel et al., 2005). Research has connected iron–deficiency in early childhood with an increased risk for developmental delays (Crowel et al., 2005). Most clinicians reported that all parents were advised to orally give medication to children with anemia; however for low–income families administering iron was not a priority (Crowel et al., 2005). Iron deficiency anemia was seen as a minor issue for many low–income parents, because it is a struggle for them to even financially support their families and ultimately parents regularly have the means to provide the medication for their children (Crowel et al., 2005). Not only does research support that iron deficiency causes delays for young children, but some previous research also suggests other health risks may link to development. Welsch, ... So he asked me for sharing some solutions considering their problems. I replied to him that the lentil producers can create marketing consortia by doing which they can increase their sales initially. Before that, they have to maintain a standard quality of their products so that they can sell the produced lentils by a common brand locally and nationally maintaining the same quality. They can also decrease the cost of the production and packaging as the volume will be huge altogether. This essay will consider Standard bank as one of the organisations which have been visited during the development informatics programs student field trip in January 2017. The essay is in four parts, which provide the information about organisation's background, problems that occurred in it, what should be indicated for the future research and how it could be done. 1. Background Standard bank is one of the core banks in South Africa, which was formed in 1862. It operates throughout different countries in the world with more than 45 000 employees working for it. However, despite such a positive intention, there are problems in the process of its implementation as CRM part of the SAP platform has not been implemented so far, thus nowadays Standard bank are not able to achieve stated goals (Ferley, 2017). Therefore the further research is needed to be conducted to identify why it is happening in such a way. 2. Research Problem Statement The research problem could be considered as a gap between the desired SAP platform implementation indicators and the current ones. During the process of SAP implementation Standard Bank was faced with an escalation of the project's time frame and budget. Initially launched in 2007, the project was restarted in 2010. At the moment of the field trip in January 2017, it has been postponed to the third quarter of 2017, which means the escalation of the overall project's schedule in 40 percent and budget in 2,25 times (from R 8bn to R 18bn) (Ferley, 2017). However, nowadays we still are not able to predict the real outcome of the project– whether it will be a success or a failure and why. The SAP implementation project team has investigated major problems when they initially have been dealing with a waterfall approach, for example, the out–of–date information about system requirements, wrong resources allocation and isolated business process. Therefore, they shifted to the agile approach, suggesting it will cope with the arisen difficulties more efficiently (Ferley, 2017). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The 1900s was a time when developed nations flourished through the exploitation of the global south, creating a structure that places developed nations as the key players of the world. Although colonialism came to an end just after the Second World War, it gave birth to a new system called neoliberalism, which encompasses a new form of colonialism. This saw the introduction of transnational institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Trade Organization (WTO), and the World Bank. These institutions applied neoliberal policies with the goal of pursuing progress for the global south. These Policies were referred to as structural adjustment programs (SAPS). The human development index is measurement used to assess countries based on three categories: life expectancy, education and gross national income per capita (UNDP, 2014,p. 2). According to the report by the Untied Nations Development Program, Ghana's HDI value is ranked at 132 out of 187 countries in 2014. In a time period of 33 years from 1980 to 2013, Ghana's HDI has been on a slow increase. Life expectancy increased by 8.8 years, years of schooling by 4.0 years and the GNI by 62.2 percent (UNDP, 2014, p. 2). Such increase in a period of 32 years can be seen as slow progress. In my opinion the introduction of structural adjustment policies have placed a blockade on Ghana hindering its human and social development. The government has been focused on repaying its debt to the IMF and World Bank to the point of where they have forgotten about the well being of its citizens. The Harvard Business School (HBS) has developed a novel Business Model Innovation (BMI), by creating an alternative to the traditional Executive MBA (EMBA) format entitled the "Program for Leadership Development" (PLD). Deviating from typical Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC's), the PLD is an intensive 28–week program that combines online and on campus training with a highly selective admissions process. HBS Alumni Status can be obtained through the completion of 2 additional weeks of their open enrollment or custom programs. PLD Alumni can contact HBS with specific needs, which can be fulfilled with custom course content. They also routinely receive questionnaires, through which HBS offers specific resources and courses, that are subsequently heavily marketed to them as a target audience. In doing so HBS employs push to talk, automated hovering, and tweak behavior connection strategies to various degrees. In assessing their BMI, an industry analysis of Porter's 5 forces framework is warranted. The Threat of New Entrants within the industry is low, with incumbent firms sharing the benefits of long established brands that have large network effects. • 39. Leadership And Leadership Development Programs While there are obvious advantages to leadership development programs, plenty of organisations are still not convinced about implementing them. The organisations tend to quote the following three as the main cause for concern: takes long to implement, it adds additional cost, and ineffective results. The program takes long to implement Perhaps the strongest argument against leadership development programs is the time it takes to properly implement one. An effective program is not something a company can achieve overnight, especially in terms of when the benefits become apparent. A 2013 survey by Brandon Hall Group, entitled Leadership Development Benchmarking, showed that only 18% of leadership development programs in place for fewer than two years were considered to provide effective results. The percentage increased to 38% when the programs were in place over five years. Therefore, the programs are not a quick fix to company problems and the benefits are not short–term advantages. The program adds additional costs Companies always need to consider the bottom line and any additional costs must always be carefully considered. Therefore, leadership development programs tend to cause concern for organisations because they can be seen as another avoidable or unnecessary cost. If you consider the point above about the benefits taking a long–time to kick in, organisations can be wary of the initial cost. A study from 2012 showed how American companies spent nearly $14 billion ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Leadership And Leadership Development Programs Leadership development is defined as formal and informal training and professional development programs designed for all management and executive–level employees to assist in developing the required leadership skills and styles to deal with a variety of situations (Human Resources, 2011). A lack of effective leadership development programs usually comes from organizations thinking that senior managers need continuous training and development. However, great leadership development is essential to all employees and managers in an organization. Software Development : Developing A New Program In the world of software development, the term agile typically refers to any approach to project management that strives to unite teams around the principles of collaboration, flexibility, simplicity, transparency, and responsiveness to feedback throughout the entire process of developing a new program or product. And agile testing generally means the practice of testing software for bugs or performance issues within the context of an agile workflow. Agile testing is a software testing practice that follows the principles of agile software development. It follows the rules of the agile manifesto, treating software development as the customer of testing and thus involves testing from the customer perspective as early as possible, testing early and often as code becomes available and stable enough from module/unit level testing. Since working increments of the software is released very often in agile software development there is also a need to test often. This is often done by using automated acceptance testing. Also since manual testing alone in agile development would likely result in either buggy software or slipping schedules because it would most often not be possible to test the whole software manually before every release. Agile testing involves all members of a cross–functional agile team, with special expertise contributed by testers. Poor families resented having their children sent so far away, and eventually the western states complained about what they perceived to be the dumping of thousands of delinquent and needy children each year. The economic shift from an agrarian society to an industrial society reduced the need for child labor on farms and further doomed this movement. Brace's conviction that family life was best for children and youth, however, continues to influence services for children to this day. The first half of the twentieth century brought growing interest in the problem of juvenile delinquency. Investigation done by Dr. William Healy's Juvenile Psychopathic Institute led to the realization that the problem of delinquent children was not limited to the poorest classes. Further, delinquency was increasingly viewed as resulting from numerous factors, with the most prevalent being the lack of parental discipline resulting from the loss of one or both parents. Concurrently, it was becoming increasingly clear that efforts to punish offending youth did not deter future criminal action and that many of the youth who left institutions often returned. As a result, interest shifted to finding ways to treat troubled youth, rather than merely punish them, and led to the creation of the juvenile court system, which separated juvenile and adult offenders and focused on rehabilitation and cure. For many years, parents have relied on using educational programs to teach and engage their children with new concepts and materials. Conversely, many children have also used television as an opportunity for learning and language development. For example, the rise of television programs like Elmo Street and Teletubbies demonstrates this upward trend of substituting media sources for teaching and learning. However, despite the increasing support from parents toward television programs, many researchers have mixed reviews on putting our children into viewing long hours of what they considered unnecessary learning. Thus in what follows of this paper, I will focus on explaining how television programs can support and facilitate language development. Moreover, I will also discuss the mixed literacy support for using television as a learning tool and finally, I will conduct a study that measures, specifically, the relationship between watching educational TV and learning novel words. Hopefully, with these measures, I will be able to find supporting evidence that proves educational TV can be a good predictor for word learning. Through the years, one continuous point of debate has been whether educational TV can facilitate and improve word learning in children. As a result, Noah was more attached to me than he was to my husband. As time transcurred, he was able to bond to my husband by spending more quality time together. At 8 months, the physician performed a routine physical exam. He stated that Noah was advanced in his gross and fine motor skills. Noah enjoyed crawling, pulling him self up to stand and manipulating objects. According to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
