Comparision of the Competencies for Advanced Practice Nurses
Advanced practice nurses have core competencies that are similar or are specific to each
specialization defined as an advanced practice. The profession of nursing presents favorable
circumstances for nurses to specialize in roles with distinct responsibilities and opportunities to
contribute to the function of a health care industry with growing demands and complexity. The
profession of nursing continues to debate to whom the title advanced practice nurse applies to.
Examination of the core concept frame works described by nurse leaders and professional
organizations tend to either support or refute the argument related to the use of the term, advanced
practice nurse for nursing administrators and educators. For the purpose of this paper the author will
explore the core competency similarities and differences of a nurse practitioner and a nurse educator.
Nurse educators and nurse practitioners are registered nurses that possess advanced education, skills,
and experience. Each specialty nurse has defined scopes of practice with distinct sets of
responsibilities, requirements, and skills. Each role represents distinct educational requirements and
activities that contribute to the complex and diverse health care industry.
Nurse educators (NEs) possess competencies such as facilitation of learning, fostering development
of the learner, socialize the learner to integrate behaviors and values within the nursing profession,
use of assessment and evaluation strategies, develop and

One of the most important elements as a Doctoral Student is learning how to effectively manage
your time and understanding the importance of empirical research. "Learning to strategically read
empirical studies can help doctoral learners manage time more effectively (GCU Lecture 2, 2012 p.
1). In this paper, one will find a complete comparison of three articles that will review the different
forms of research questions posed for the studies, sample populations used, the limitations, literature
review, study conclusions, and recommendations for further research. Article one analyzed

Article one is different from article two and three in that the sample sized used was larger, therefore
article one was able to obtain and full assessment. Article two and three where similar in their small
sample size and was determined that more data was needed in order to have a reasonable
assessment.
Limitations of the Studies As a researcher it is important that one can identify the weakness of one's
study. Limitations are the constraints of general and utility of the findings that are the direct result in
which you chose to design the study and/or the method used to establish internal and external
validity (Creswell, 2007). In all three articles limitations where identified. For example, article one
sample size was large, however it restricted the age of the respondents, race age by 50 years, and
many of the jurisdictions only having three respondents. Article one also concluded that
transformational leaders may not be the result of hierarchical organizations. Article two limitations
sample size was too small to create a full assessment. More qualitative research needed to be
considered to explore the exact reasons why transformational and transactional leadership tend to
lead companies with greater customer satisfaction (Emery and Barker 2007). Article three
limitations where identified as student sampling was limited to one department of the university. In
addition, more males would judge more favorable than females. Article three required more

Ap Euro Peasant Rebellion Comparision Essays
DBQ: Peasants' revolts
From 1524 to 1526 peasant revolts were occurring throughout the German states. Many causes and
responses brewed out of these revolts. One cause is from religion issues (1,3,6) , Luther's idea of
equality. Another cause is the peasant gaining power (2,8,9). As a result of these causes came out
response, the most common response was riots and chaos (5,11,7). These revolts would end in
thousands of rebel deaths and others are also killed.
In the early 1500s religious reforms were constant throughout all of Germany, including the ideas of
Martin Luther. Martin Luther brought the idea of equality to the peasants (1,3,6) , which in term
started the revolts. In document 1 Leonhard van Eck states that the peasants were ... Show more

This document is written by peasants hence the encouragement for the revolt, although Lotzer might
be saying this so that we may be the leader of this revolt and he is a craftsman so this might get
more people to notice his craft, he then gains more money. Document 8 is the complete opposite
perspective of the peasants gaining power and the revolt. Lorenz Fries is a catholic archbishop and
the revolts are driven out of Luther's doctrines. He said that the peasants are troublesome and the
revolt should be stopped, but he most likely said this to get people to turn their backs on
Lutheranism and accept Catholicism. Although his report is a secret one so he probably wrote it
secretly so that he would not be killed or hurt by the peasant's rebellion. In document 9, Caspar
Nutzel, a noble, says that the peasants were blinded and they have gotten too strong. This document
is also a response in that people have allowed the revolts to happen and the peasants have gone too
far. Though this document should be approached with caution because he uses some absolute
language in the regard to how the peasants act, and Nutzel might be stating this to keep his job as
town councilor.
The most common response to the revolts was chaos and rioting (5,11,7). In document 5, a
theologian/journalist states what happened at Weinsburg when the peasants arrived there.

Comparision Of Microscale Masses Of Hydrogen And Oxygen
Abstract
In this experiment, microscale quantities of hydrogen and oxygen were generated to test their
explosive nature both separately and in mixtures of various proportions in order to identify the
mixture with the most explosive energy, via a pop test that measured relative loudness, thus
determining the optimal ratio for their combustion reaction to give water, and determine a mole ratio
for the reaction in a balanced equation. Each gas mixture was then tested for power as fuel through
the launching of a micro mole rocket. The gases were produced via two separate generators which
isolated a chemical reaction to either produce oxygen or hydrogen gas, the reactions included the
single– replacement reaction reaction of zinc and hydrochloric acid to generate hydrogen gas, and
the yeast catalyzed decomposition of hydrogen peroxide to generate oxygen gas ... Show more

Gas collection bulbs were filled with different proportions of each gas, proportional to the number
of moles of gas present, and were tested for relative loudness, which represented power/ explosive
energy via a pop test in which a match was struck near the bulb. The loudness was measured via a
scale in which the most explosive mixture was given a ten and the least explosive given a zero. The
ratios were tested for their ability to launch the bulb a distance during a rocket launch in which the
bulb "rocket" was placed on a launch pad and ignited by a piezo sparker. Both dependent variables,
distance and loudness represented overall explosion energy and were used to indicate which of the
ratios represented the optimum ratio of hydrogen and oxygen to give water in a combustion reaction.
To be considered valid, the amount of error in each data point must have fallen into the range of
average deviation of the measurements. Data was error prone for relative loudness was measured
based on blind perception of a

Compounds that contained a metal with a higher change had a higher conductivity. As you move to
the right along the periodic table, the metals get more and more conductive, and then conductivity
drops off as soon as you get to metalloids and then nonmetals. For an element to conduct electricity,
it must contain electrons that are free to move [1], and as you move to the right through the metals,
the number of these electrons increases. The conductivity values for DI and tap water are much
lower than the conductivity of the compounds, and this is due to less concentration of ions in the
water.
A possible experiment could be that you take a compound, such as NaCl, and add it to deionized
water to create different concentration levels and record the conductivity in each in order to form a

Comparision of Greek Myth of Prometheus and...
When comparing the ancient Greek creation myth of Prometheus and the Judaeo–Christian Adam
and Eve story we find some striking similarities in both of them.
Analyzing Hesiod's Theogony and other sources we come to the conclusion that the old Greek
religion did not include a direct link as to the creation of the humans. They just co–existed with the
Gods. Maybe they sprang from Gaea herself, it is not certain.
Other sources for the creation of man, point to Zeus giving the task of creating men and animals to
the sons of Iapetus, Prometheus (before thought) and Epimetheus (after thought). Zeus had told both
of the brothers to give them gifts, but while Prometheus was working hard creating the men,
Epimetheus had already finished ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They lived together in the garden for some time along with the other beasts until the serpent (who
later on was said to have been satan) convinced Eve to eat the apple, telling her she would not die,
but become a God. At this point, humanity lost it's innocence. Both Adam and Eve realised that they
were naked and fashioned coverings for themselves. God was angry and to punish them they were
sent into exile into the world. Their immortality was taken away and Angels called Cherubim were
placed at the gates of Eden to guard the way to the Tree of Life. A flaming sword which spins in
every direction was also placed to ward off intruders.
It is interesting to note that Adam and Eve are mentioned in all the Judaeo religions including Islam.
In the Qur'an Adam is regarded as a prophet (a person spoken to by God). Eve is mentioned ad
Hawwa, his wife. In this version when Adam came to life, God sent a number of angels to fetch clay
from the earth to form him and they took the clay from a variety of sources to signify the variety in
human beings. Their version of Satan is Iblis who refuses to bow down to Adam when God orders
the angels to do so and is banished from heaven
Instead of eating an apple, it was a grape this time and the same thing followed (their expulsion and
nakedness and humanity's notions as we know them today).

Essay about Comparision of Wordsworth and Blake's Poems
Authors, William Wordsworth and William Blake convey different messages and themes in their
poems, "The World is Too Much with Us" and "The Tyger" consecutively by using the different
mechanics one needs to create poetry. Both poems are closely related since they portray different
aspects of society but the message remains different. Wordsworth's poem describes a conflict
between nature and humanity, while Blake's poem issues God's creations of completely different
creatures. In "The World is Too Much with Us," we figure the theme to be exactly what the title
suggests: Humans are so self–absorbed with other things such as materialism that there's no time left
for anything else. In "The Tyger" the theme revolves around the question of what ... Show more

Imagery is clearly evident all throughout the poem, like for example, in lines 6–7, Wordsworth
describes how the winds that used to be there are "fading" and "dormant" which makes the reader
just picture himself being within nature at that moment. Metaphors and personification are in lines 5
and 7 with the phrase, "sleeping flowers" and "Sea bares her bosom," since the flowers and sea are
given a humanlike quality. An apparent metaphor is given in the 10th line where the speaker
mentions he rather be a pagan suckled in a creed outworn" which is being compared to a mother
nursing a baby. Finally, there's a simile in lines 6–7 which compare the winds to "sleeping flowers."
In "The Tyger," there are plenty of mechanics apparent to help develop the meaning of the poem.
There's definitely a meter which makes the poem run smoothly and the rhyme scheme is
AABB...and so on. Most of the punctuation used during the poem is question marks since William
Blake writes this poem questioning this mysterious and fascinating creation of the "Tyger." The
speaker is unclear in the poem but I think it's someone who can definitely vision the appearance of
this captivating creature. There's a lot of repetition in the poem beginning with the first line where
the word, "Tyger"

As most people know, Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson had many different viewpoints
and beliefs of the relationship between the federal government and the state government. The
relationship between the federal government and the state government was different in many ways.
For instance, the people who wanted the states to have control were typically people who were
farmers and did not believe the Constitution would protect the public's individual liberties. While
the people who wanted the federal government to have more control, like Alexander Hamilton, were
typically of wealthier men and believed in what the Constitution stands for. Specifically, Alexander
Hamilton was a federalist and Thomas Jefferson was a man who opposed the Federalists

Comparision of Judaism and Zoroastrianism Essay
Comparision of Judaism and Zoroastrianism
Religion has been a major focal point in any society and in any culture. Starting from the first
civilizations in Sumer and Ur to the vast metropolitans of today like New York and London, religion
has been around and played a key part in lives of people. Possibly two of the oldest religions in the
world, Judaism and Zoroastrinism share distinct qualities that are still alive today. Both religions are
practiced but Zoroastrianism is not as popular as it once was. Meanwhile, Judaism is one of the
world's largest religions. These two religions are similar in the way that they are designed and
practiced throughout history. Judaism originated in the Middle East. Judaism calls that all ... Show

Women were treated unfair and were considered impure because they gave childbirth and went
through the menstruation cycle. The Jewish religion has many key components, which were derived
from other religions such as Zoroastrianism. The prophet Zoroaster founded Zoroastrianism in
Persia. The doctrines preached by Zoroaster are preserved in his metrical Gathas (psalms), which
form part of the sacred scripture known as the Avesta. Zoroastrianism is one of the first monotheistic
beliefs in the world. The beliefs are outlined in the Gathas. The basic tenets of the Gathas consist of
a worship of Ahura Mazda and an ethical dualism opposing Truth and Lie, which permeate the
entire universe. Upon death in Zoroastrianism a person's soul will be judged at the Bridge of
Discrimination; the follower of Truth will cross and be led into paradise, and the adherents of Lie
will fall into hell. Zoroastrianists believe that evil will be wiped off the face of the Earth and will be
burnt. The Gathas and the Seven Chapters form part of the larger work, the Yasna. In the Yasna there
are hymns that praise specific Gods, and the code of law that they are to follow. Both Judaism and
Zoroastrinism share many characteristics in common. The most obvious and probably one of the
most important is the fact that both religions are monotheistic. In ancient times many civilizations
were polytheistic. These two religions emerged as the first two monotheistic belief

Jekyll and Hyde: A Comparision Essay
Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde Stevenson's "The strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" was one of the
most famous works of horror fiction of all time in English literature. It was based in the nineteenth
century. It reflects the influence of two important ideological forces in the Victorian era. The text
uses gothic and detective elements to interest the reader as they were very popular at the time. The
focus of the text is concentrated on the issue of Jekyll and Hyde's personality which was described
as someone who lived a double life of outward sanctity and secret iniquity. This is so that it would to
create a mystery for the reader as they are trying to unravel who Hyde is. The writer emphasises the
idea of Mr Hyde being "apelike" ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To continue the Gothic imagery the writer mentions scenes when Hyde, a wholly evil creature, kill
the character "Sir Danvers". The image of decay corrupting bodies where horrific and left a
disturbed effect on the reader. The Attributes of the Detective Genre are shown in this novel, such as
how the character Utterson unravels the mysterious case surrounding Jekyll and hyde. This non–
linear narrative gets the reader more involved as they start to solve the mystery too. The quote
"incident at window", which is a chapter heading develops a mysterious effect as it was about a
woman observing a crime through a window. The heading for each chapter creates a more
interactive reading experience. Stevenson discovered many themes that interested Victorian readers,
one of which was the battle between "good versus evil". Good being Dr Jekyll as he suffers through
out the story trying to get rid of the evil creative Hyde. This theme shows the idea that everyone has
a good and evil side to their personality. In addition the theme of rich and poor is also shown as we
learn that Hyde's mysterious dwelling is run down and neglected. In contrast Jekyll's home is
extremely well kept, majestic and beautiful. To get the image of what individual characters were like
Stevenson had to give clear and detailed information on the description of each character. This was
essential as in the Victorian times there was no television and the book had

Comparision of Alexander the Great and Augustus Ceasar
Alexander the Great and Augustus are two different individuals from two different time periods and
they are both famous for their accomplishments. Alexander is one of the greatest military geniuses
who by the age of 33 had conquered most of Asia. Alexander thought of himself as the son of Greek
god Zeus. Augustus was the first emperor of Rome who brought peace and stability to the Roman
Empire. He was the grandson of the sister of Julius Caesar. His original name was Caius Octavius,
but when he was adopted by the Julian gens (44 B.C.) he became Caius Julius Caesar Octavianus
(Octavian). He was named (given the title) Augustus later when he became the First Emperor or
Rome by the senate. Augustus was seen as both a military leader as well as a religious leader. In my
opinion they were both very important in their time because Alexander for being able to conquer
lands all the way to Asia and Augustus for being the first emperor and having a nearly fifty years of
peace (Pax Romana). But if I had to choose who was more important I would choose Augustus
Caesar.
Alexander the Great was the King of Macedonia. He is considered one of the greatest military
geniuses of all times. He inspired later conquerors such as Hannibal the Carthaginian, the Romans
Pompey, Caesar, and Napoleon. Alexander was born in 356 B.C. in Pella, the ancient capital of
Macedonia. He was the son of Phillip II, King of Macedonia, and Olympia's, the princess of

Also Therese does not want to grow up while in the other hand her older sister the narrator Evelyn

she realises boys are something of interest. Also she turns an old vest into a bikini: "I'd fashioned a

On the other hand in the story of the Darkness Out There Kerry and Sandra the two main young

was quite negative saying: "Blacked licked–down hair and slitty eyes" The description is clearly
negative and makes Kerry sounds very gothic, lonely and not social at all by saying she has black
licked–down hair and slitting eyes. Sandra is meanwhile described very nicely in the first sentence
of the story: "She walked through flowers, the girl, ox–eye daises and vetch and cow parsley,
keeping to the track at the edge of the field." Undoubtedly this is clearly written by Lively, the
author to create confusion to the reader. Although Sandra is described as young and innocent in the

Comparision of Oedipus and Siddhartha Essay
Anonymously quoted, someone once related, "In the end is my beginning." This contradictory
statement throws a lot of light on the literary world as that one realm, is always filled with realistic
blasphemies and extreme normality. So in the light of this quotation, studying two certain literary
works is extremely helpful as it makes us comprehend and understand the works better, which in
this case is Oedipus by Sophocles, and Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. Both these works explore the
areas of death, suffering and ending in their own way and relate it to the plot perfectly. Hence, it is
correct to state that in the end, there actually is a beginning.

Comparision of "The Soldier" and "Dulce et Decorum Est" Essay
"Compare and contrast "The Soldier" by Rupert Brooke with "Dulce et Decorum Est" by Wilfred
Owen with regard to theme, tone, imagery, diction, metre, etc"
The Soldier by Rupert Brooke, and Dulce et Decorum Est by Wilfred Owen are two poems which
were written during the First World War, and both being written about this conflict, they share the
same theme of war poetry. However, the two poems deal very differently with the subject of war,
resulting in two very different pieces of writing.
When considering the structure of the poems, they are similar in that they are both written loosely in
iambic pentameter. Also, they both have a notable structured rhyme scheme.
Concerning The Soldier, this poem is written in a classic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

What is typically found in this type of sonnet is a problem being presented in the octave and the
resolution in the sestet; however in this poem there is no such shift. By not implementing this
change, Brooke can maintain his theme of patriotism throughout.
Wilfred Owen's Dulce et Decorum Est is also written in iambic pentameter, however this rhythm is
notably disrupted at one main specific point; when the mustard gas is dropped
"GAS! Gas! Quick, boys! – An ecstasy of fumbling"
This break in the established metre may have been included to represent the sense of panic that
would have flooded the soldiers involved. This is also apparent in the line which describes the
soldier 'drowning' in the gas. The final intentional disruption to the established rhythm comes in the
final line, where it appears Owen is purposefully leaving iambic pentameter altogether, as if the
words he is writing do not warrant being placed into an attractive pattern, due to the disgust he feels
towards them.
Therefore we have two poems which are deliberately changing their structure from the norm in
order to create effect. However, these effects have totally different intentions, which lead to the end
of the similarities and the first of many differences between the two poems.
Owen's poem has the clear intention of showing the true nature of war to the reader, which is mainly
achieved by contrasting reality against the ways in which war is so

A Comparison of Corporate Governance Systems in Four Countries
Abstract Companies in different countries are operating in different cultural, legal, social and
economic environments. As a result, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This understanding is helpful for policy makers to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of
implementing a particular philosophy on their corporation laws and adopting a particular board
model. This study starts with a brief review of the prior research on the corporate governance
systems in a variety of different countries. It then analyzes the structures of German
supervisory boards (Aufsichtsrat), US boards, Switzerland boards (Verwaltungsrat) and French
boards (conseil d'administration and conseil de surveillance). From these analyses, this study
attempts to identify the key features of these structures that may make the monitoring functions of
the boards more successful.
2. Prior Research Although several studies have examined corporate governance systems, most of
them focus on the system of a particular jurisdiction only. Very few compare corporate governance
systems across different countries. Among these few, for example, Bleicher, Leberl and Paul (1989)
conduct two extensive research projects to compare the legal requirements and the actual practices
of the corporate governance systems among listed corporations in Germany, the US and
Switzerland. They recommend that some monitoring practices for these

companies be developed (Bleicher et al., 1989, p. 259).
They conclude that the

Augustus Caesar and Emperor Nero Comparision
I believe that being a beloved leader has a huge effect on being a better ruler. In 44 B.C. Julius
Caesar was assassinated by his senate chamber. Soon his nephew and adopted son, Gaius Octavian,
would join forces with Mark Anthony and Marcus Aemilius Lepidus into a three–way dictatorship.
This transformed Rome from being a Monarchy into being a dictatorship. Lepidus left Rome soon
after Octavian began reign and went on to lead parts of Africa and Hispania. In 37 B.C. Mary
Anthony met Cleopatra. They fell in love and Mark followed her back to Egypt. Octavian took reign
over Rome and obtained the name Augustus Caesar. Mark Anthony and Augustus became enemies
and war broke out between Rome and Egypt. This is one reason for why I believe that ... Show more

Women gave birth during his shows and some people faked being dead just to be dragged out of it.
Some people even went as far as jumping off the ledge of the theater to their death. These plays
would go on for several days without any breaks. He attempted to set fire to Rome just so he could
rebuild the city. In my opinion, the action that Nero is most known for is for persecuting of Jews.
Nero would crucify Jews for spreading Christianity throughout Rome. Nero was the persecutor of
the apostles Paul and Peter. Nero was a violent leader and a leader who was definitely, not beloved.
In conclusion, being a leader that is beloved has a huge effect on being a better leader. For example,
Augustus Caesar was so favored that his name was passed on through all the emperors all the way
up to 476A.D. The roman citizen would hold festivals just in honor of Augustus. They loved
Augustus which made Rome a happier place all in all. In the other hand Nero made Rome become a
dark and violent empire. I believe that good rulers always work their hardest to please their people
and have positive influences on them. People want a leader who incurages them and is always
striving to help the empire grow

A comparision of the degree of Racism in 'To Kill A...
From Martin Luther King to Nelson Mandela and many more in between, people have tried to
encourage the condemnation of prejudice. Harper Lee and Mildred D. Taylor have tried to do this
using the medium of the novel. Many people would feel that the books could be set in the 19th
century due to the significance of the prejudice and racism involved. They are actually set in the
1930s and, whilst these childhood accounts were written in the second half of the 20th century, the
prejudice still existed at the time of writing and still occurs in inexcusable amounts today.
Throughout both books, there are many instances where characters endure or cause suffering due to
their unreasonable prejudice. The authors use some similar and some differing ... Show more

This is exactly what happened to Cassie, and is completely unjustifiable. The way the author enables
you to feel empathy for Cassie is what condemns prejudice.
More of this open prejudice appears in Mr. Barnett 's shop, as he plainly ignores the black children
in favour of a white woman, who had a lot more shopping than the black children:
"Mr Barnett walked to another counter and began filling the order, but before he finished a white
woman called, "Mr. Barnett, you waiting on anybody just now?" Mr. Barnett turned around, "Just
them," he said, indicating to us with a wave of his hand. "What can I do for you, Miz Emmaline?"
The woman handed him a list twice as long as T.J. 's and the storekeeper, without a word of apology
to us, proceeded to fill it."
After Mr. Barnett had displayed this blatant show of prejudice, Cassie went on to ask him why he
wasn 't helping them. Mr. Barnett became exceptionally angry because he thought that Cassie was
acting outrageously just by talking back to him, even though she spoke very politely. This is partly
because he has no respect for black people in general but also because he just cannot believe that a
young black girl would have the moral courage to act differently to the norm. Even though she acts
in a manner that we could easily accept by today 's standards, Mr. Barnett thinks that she is
conceited and a menace. This condemns prejudice because the reader cannot find any genuine
reason that would

Comparision Of Hamlet With Rosencrantz And Guildenstern...
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (R and G...) by Tom Stoppard is a transformation of
Shakespeare's Hamlet that has been greatly influenced due to an external contextual shift. The
sixteenth century Elizabethan historical and social context, accentuating a time of questioning had
specific values which are transformed and altered in Stoppard's Existential, post two–world wars
twentieth century historical and social context. The processes of transformation that are evident
allow the shifts in ideas, values and external contexts to be clearly depicted. This demonstrates the
significance of the transformation allowing new interpretations and ideas about reality as opposed to

Claudius' character demonstrates the theme of appearance or reality in Act One, through adopting an
act as though he is grieving the loss of his brother. This is demonstrated in the line, "and that it us
befitted/to bear our hearts in grief, and our whole kingdom/ to be contracted in one brow of woe".
However, his tone of sorrow is really an appearance, as it was Claudius himself who murdered
Hamlet Senior. This is proven in Claudius' soliloquy, the second climax to the play when he is
praying. "O, my offence is rank; it smells to heaven...a brother's murder". His tone is filled with guilt
and it is here the value of truth is displayed. Elizabethan's would have seen Claudius' deception and
value the truthfulness of this climactic soliloquy, in a social context that recognised sin and believed
in God's punishment and reward.
This is juxtaposed by Stoppard in R and G... through using the Player to proclaim that everyone is
acting. When Guildenstern asks the Player "aren't you going to change into your costume?" the
Player replies "I never change out of it, sir". This concept symbolises how life is a continual
pretence and we all play act the life roles that are predetermined.
Hamlet also uses the players to determine the reality of the ghost reflecting how he is questioning
reality in general. This can be linked with Guildenstern's [Guil] speech in R and G ... about the
unicorn and Guil, along with Hamlet,

Essay on Comparision Of Plasma And LCD Screens
What is a plasma monitor? A plasma monitor is a display device that uses gas plasma technology.
How do plasma monitors produce images? Basically a plasma monitor is a layer of gas between two
gas plates. It works when voltage is applied, thus making the gas release an ultraviolet light, causing
pictures and images you see on the plasma screen when you are watching TV. Plasma monitors are
flat screen, thin, and lightweight which allows it to be hung from a wall. It also has a good contrast
of colors causing images to be more vivid and colorful. The plasma screens also have good viewing
angles meaning that from any angle in which one sits, images remain fairly solid. This type of
monitor has good picture quality especially for bigger screen ... Show more content on

Plasmas were more expensive than LCD monitors but due to the fact that it uses more energy, LCD
monitors have become popular which results in a rise of price. Nowadays both plasma and LCD
screens are very similar in prices. Plasma screens are often compared to LCD screens since both are
flat screen and have a thin profile. But there are much more differences between the two. First of all,
plasma screens use plasma technology (as implied in its name) while LCD screens use liquid crystal
technology. LCDs are more energy efficient and are lighter than similar sized plasmas. LCD may
also have a longer lifespan and a better resolution while plasmas have better contrast of colors,
better picture quality, and better viewing angles. But due to today's advanced technology, LCD and
plasma screens are highly similar. So similar that these differences no longer can be that noticeable.
In order to recommend between which of the two types of screens to purchase, it would depend first
on what the buyer is looking for. If the buyer is looking for a big screen television ranged from fifty
inches or larger, plasma screen would be better because it has more of a reasonable price for its size
and it has a better picture quality for bigger screens. If the buyer is looking for a smaller television
screen ranged from fifteen inches to forty–two inches, LCD screen would be better since its more
lightweight, slimmer, and has a good resolution for its size. Plasma monitors

Comparision of HighScope and Montesori Childhood Education...
HighScope was founded in America by David Weikart and colleagues in 1960s. It was originally
developed for low income families and children. Weikart and his colleagues proposed an
intervention for three and 4 year olds to prepare them for school.
The HighScope approach to Early Childhood Education recognizes the benefits of active
participatory learning. Therefore its programme is structured around the concept of learning through
play.
HighScope programme has eight curriculum areas of which one is Mathematics. HighScope
Mathematics include concepts such umber words and symbols, counting, shapes, measuring, and
pattern. In classroom there are enough materials for everyone which allows experimenting.
Children acquire mathematics skills and concepts through adult – guided experiences that respect
children's concrete thinking and need to learn through exploration. One such adult–guided
experience would be, for example, when children spontaneously use numbers in their play adult

Comparision Of Gender Differences Between Judaism And Women

Under Buddhism, celibacy is the encouraged life choice, with women seen as a temptation away
from this. As a result, the Buddha Gautama encouraged women, particularly in religious settings, to
actively downplay their beauty, following the example of Khema who reached enlightenment only
by acknowledging the transient nature of physical beauty. Even today, Buddhist nuns shave their

Comparision of "The Chrysalids" and "Animal Farm" Essay
ISU – Compare and Contrast Essay
In our contemporary civilization, literature plays an important and impacting role in our daily lives.
Adapting to the different likes and tastes of modern day society, books and novels have different
types and genres, all having in common the objective to please the reader and to convey morals and
themes to the audience. In the 20th century were written 2 novels, The Chrysalids and Animal Farm,
which will be compared and contrasted in the following essay, demonstrating the fact that they both
target the general audience and not one particular group of readers. The comparison between both
novels will be done via the contrast of specific literary elements such as the plot and the moods of

In this science–fiction novel, the mood in the beginning, which is one of discovery as David is
discovering society and his surroundings, shifts into one of panic and suspense as David and the
group of telepaths evade society, and finally into one of relief and wonder at the end of the novel
when the "Sealand" woman rescues David, his sister and his cousin. The moods in this novel add
suspense, mystery, intrigue and adventure to the storyline, which is hence likely to please more
readers. The novel could be perceived as a satire, satirizing our society because in our history, some
groups of human beings have indeed reacted negatively to difference and diversity and persecuted
them, resulting often in genocides as in the Holocaust, which killed approximately 6 million Jews.
In the fictive, allegoric novel Animal Farm, which was written by George Orwell and published by
Penguin Books in 1945, farm animals rebel against their owner, Mr. Jones, and take control over
their farm and attempt to survive independently from humankind. The animals of the farm, which is
run by the pigs since they are the brightest animals, set and determine particular conditions and the
"Animalism" concept, which establishes equality and better life conditions among animals.

The poem "Barbie Doll" by Marge Piercy and "Suicide Note" by Janice Mirikitani are both about
how two young women could no long take the pressures society placed upon them. Although the
two poems have a very different tone, language, and structure the same underlying theme exists. In
both poems the girls struggle to be perfect and to conform to the desires of others. Both women in
the poems ultimately commit suicide because they can no longer live with the criticism and lack of

The girl was told to diet, exercise, and use flattery to get what she wants (Piercy, 867). She tried to

what and how to be from a young age will take its toll on any person especially an impressionable
teenager. Being that I have experienced these pressures, although not to the same extent as the girl in
Piercy's poem, I can safely say that young adolescents tend to be quite multifaceted and sensitive
which explains why criticism about one's appearance can damage their morale. This girl no longer
had the will to battle the burdens she was feeling and the lines "So she cut off her nose and legs and
offered them up" make reference to the fact that she committed suicide (Piercy, 867). I get the
feeling in the last stanza that the girl may have had some physically altering surgery sometime
before she took her life. Ironically, it is only when the young woman is lying dead in a casket that
people begin to acknowledge her beauty. The last line is a very powerful one "To every woman a
happy ending" (Piercy, 867). I disagree that the subject of the poem truly had a happy ending, but I
do not feel the author meant it literally either. It seems the author means to deject the people in the
girl's life who only saw her flaws and not her true beauty and intelligence. The title "Barbie Doll" is
appropriate because society metaphorically compares women to the look of

David Comparision Essay
David Comparision Today, just as Homo erectus did eons ago, modern man strives for expression
through art. The evolutionary paths of man and art parallel one another; in that, the complexities,
which have accompanied the millenniums, also have brought exponentially progressed forms of art.
Sculpture is an art form that maintains a high quality of expression. Two examples of this are the
Davids done by Michelangelo and Bernini. Michelangelo's David and Bernini's David represent
their different time periods and artists while remaining similar.
Michelangelo was born in 1475 near Florence. At an early age Michelangelo's interest in art eclipsed
that of his studies, and so he began apprenticing at 13 in lieu of regular school. His ... Show more

The work shows a conflict between line and form with the muscles of the adolescent frame and the
flat planes. The dynamic emotion is conveyed through the tightened muscles and wrinkles upon the
face in concentration, just as those of every man before a fight (Hart 112). David's large hands
represent his strength and are characteristic of the later mannerism style, while the rest of his form is
somewhat true to the conventions of the High Renaissance (Shaked 1). Michelangelo's work
embodies the influences of his time just as Bernini's. Bernini born was in Naples in 1598 and was
turned on to art at an early age by his father. He grew up with influences such as Hellenistic nudes
and Classicism, but his most important artistic factor was being in Rome during the Baroque
movement (Dexter 1). Bernini took a different and fitting approach to sculpting David. It was
Bernini's first major work, which he completed at the age of only twenty–one over a period of only
seven months. Shakard writes, "[Bernini] depicted David as an artist (of war), using his hands as the
means of his art (1). The work depicts him with his slingshot cocked back, his armor on the ground
behind him because of it's weight and his harp shrouded at his feet. Through this Bernini conveys
David's smaller stature and that his life is not one of a warrior. He wants to strike Goliath from afar.

Presidential Democracy
There are two main types of democratic systems in the world today: Parliamentary and Presidential.
More important than any difference is the fact that these two forms of governments are democracies.
This being a fundamental similarity for the two, the people are allowed to vote for their leaders in
both a parliamentary and presidential democracy (Comparision). Most people take part in political
life by way of elections; this is common for both types of democracies. For example, Great Britain,
being a parliament, revolves around two main political parties: Labour and Conservatives. The party
with the greatest representation forms the government. A Prime Minister is then selected from the
leading party and then becomes the head of state (Hauss ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers can be removed from office if it loses the
confidence of the majority party. Basically, if the people of parliament do not like what is going on,
then there can be a vote or ruling to decide whether the Prime Minister needs to be removed from
office (Hauss 126). The President in a presidential system typically has a fixed term lasting four to
eight years, due to the fact that it is more difficult to impeach a president versus a receiving a vote of
no confidence (Carabajal). Furthermore, in a parliament system there is no strict separation of
powers because the ministers are also members of legislature. There are however incredibly strict
separation of powers in a presidential system. For example, in the United States , the President and
the secretaries are not members of Congress (Comparison). There is a relatively low chance for
gridlock in a parliamentary democracy due to the fact that the majority party supports the Prime
Minister and so there is agreement and support on the decisions that are made. Whereas in a
presidential democracy there is and increased chance for gridlock due to the multiple claims of
legitimacy between executive and legislative branches in the government

Comparision of Duddy Kravitz and Jay Gatsby Essay
Comparision of Duddy Kravitz and Jay Gatsby
Mordecai Richler's The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz certainly provides a stark contrast to F.
Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. While Fitzgerald epitomizes descriptive writing techniques,
Richler is far more reserved and subtle in terms of description when juxtaposed. However, both
writers are able to successfully reveal the precarious journey of, essentially, the same character.
Richler's Duddy Kravitz and Fitzgerald's Jay Gatsby, exemplifies the accomplishments that result
from pursuing a dream. Kravitz obediently follows his grandfather's advice: "A man without land is
nobody" (Richler, 49.) Meanwhile, Gatsby follows his heart and pursues Daisy Buchanans'

While Kravitz desperately attempts to avoid a lifetime of "nothingness," Gatsby struggles to
overcome his status as a "poor boy, who can't marry rich girls." In essence, poverty is the major
contributing factor responsible for the irrepressible desire exemplified by Kravitz and Gatsby. Thus,
it is vital that each character experience it. Since Kravitz and Gatsby are exposed to the same
challenges during their childhood years, both are able to develop similar psychological characters.
Thus, the resounding desire possessed by each as a result of poverty, proves that Kravitz and Gatsby
possess the same psychological mindset.
Kravitz and Gatsby have essentially created a mythological past to obscure their inauspicious
backgrounds. Both characters demonstrate an overwhelming sense of arrogance, which partially
forces them to conceal their backgrounds. Kravitz has created a fictional brother, who had,

Comparision of the tragic characters in Othello and King...
The Greek philosopher Aristotle set forth the guidelines for a tragedy in his work Poetics. According
to Aristotle, the tragic character in a tragedy is a person, not all good or bad, who begins in a rank of
high degree and importance and then experiences a downfall due to a tragic flaw. In the end of most
tragedies, the character comes to a realization of his flaw after enduring a great deal of suffering.
William Shakespeare, an English playwright of the 17th century, composed many tragedies,

allows Iago to take advantage of him. Othello is constantly referring to Iago as "Honest Iago" and
entrusting him with important duties, such as attending to his wife when he leaves for Cyprus. Iago
scoffs at Othello's trust in him and shows intention of deceit:
The Moor is of a free and open nature,
That thinks men honest that but seem to be so,
And will as tenderly be led by the nose
As asses are. (Othello, I.iii.442–445)
Iago insults Othello by comparing him to a submissive donkey, and he displays an intent of
deceiving Othello in this simile. Lear's pride, like Othello's, causes him to trust others who plan on
deceiving him. Two of his daughters, Goneril and Regan, gain Lear's trust through their flattering
formalistic love speeches by playing into his pride and boosting his self–image. Lear is unsuspecting
of the daughters' plot against him, and the two go on to take advantage of their father's poor
judgment. Lear trustingly divides his kingdom between them, giving up his power and entrusting his
well being into the hands of these malicious characters. Goneril

Comparision Of Hamlet's Relationship With Ophelia
According to Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, some aspects of a person's personality
are settled in the unconscious. He also said that Shakespeare's unconscious understood the
unconscious of Hamlet. Freud also believed that Hamlet was suffering from Oedipus Complex
which is a male's feeling or desires for his mother and anger towards his father. A man might feel
like he is in constant competition for his mother's affection and his father is in the way, that is why
he sees his father as a rival. That is why Hamlet thinks about his mother often. He seems to be
always preoccupied with her sexual life. That is why Claudius' marriage with Gertrude fills Hamlet
with anger and repulsion towards his mother. He seems obsessed with his mother's sexuality, always
mentioning and asking about Gertrude and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He desires the relationship he has with Gertrude to be more like the relationship he has with
Ophelia. There are a few similarities between Ophelia and Gertrude such as they are both
submissive. Hamlet plays with Ophelia just like his mother plays with him. He plays with Ophelia's
feeling and emotions just like his mother does with him. Hamlet sometimes does not act like a son,
instead, he acts like he's Gertrude's lover, often asking questions about her relationship with
Claudius. He is secretly attracted to his mother, which explains why he hates Claudius so much,
apart from the fact that Claudius murdered his father. Claudius took away his chance of becoming
the king and to have his mother, but those feelings, according to Freud, are hidden in his
subconscious. He is angry at Claudius because deep down he wishes he had done everything
Claudius had done including killing his father, taking the throne, and marrying his mother. The
Oedipus Complex could be causing Hamlet's behavior and probably is the reason why he is
struggling when it comes to revenge his father's murder.

Comparision of p–self Protection Problem Algorithms for Static Wireless Sensor Networks Nikitha
Gullapalli
Graduate Student, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, University of South Florida
nikitha@mail.usf.edu Abstract – Wireless sensor networks are being widely used in many
surveillance applications. Since sensor nodes are a critical part of sensor networks, certain level of
protection needs to be provided to them. The self–protection problem focuses on using sensor nodes
to provide protection to themselves instead of the target objects or certain target area so that the
sensor nodes can resists the attacks targeting to them directly. In this paper we compare paper [1]
and paper [2]. The key research question being asked, how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

KEY RESEARCH QUESTIONS
1. How to determine the minimum set of sensors for covering problems of sensor networks?
Efficient centralized and distributed algorithms with constant approximation ratio for the minimum
p–self–protection problem in sensor networks when all sensors have the same sensing radius.
2. Is finding minimum 1–self–protection a NP–complete?
Yes, it is proved that finding minimum 1–self–protection is NP–complete by reducing the minimum
set cover problem.
3. If MIS is selected to provide certain protection to nodes, what happens after some rounds when it
already has p–protections?
Purpose of selecting MIS is to provide certain protections to nodes that are not selected into the
MIS. However, this may not be necessary after some rounds for some nodes when it already has p
protections from selected active nodes Thus, for each node u, we again use p(u) to denote the
protection level (i.e., the number of active sensors that can sense this node) that it already has
achieved via previously activated sensors from MIS's.
4. Is there a smarter way to select the nodes instead of randomly?
Instead of random selection of a sensor to cover each active sensor in MIS, we can use a smarter
method to select the nodes to protect the MIS nodes with less than p protectors in the last steps of
our algorithm.
5. As each sensor has limited power and resources, how to balance the energy consumption?
To balance the energy consumption, one simple method proposed in this paper is

Short Stories Comparision
Intentionally the authors of all three stories have decided to drag the theme into the main characters
taking the step from childhood to adolescence. When the Wasps Drowned by Clare Wigfall uses the
wasps as a tool to show how their childhood changes and how they grow up, very similar to how
Mrs Rutters tale in the story of The Darkness Out There by Penelope Lively changed Kerry and
Sandra as individuals. Examination Day, though having a way different plot also has a theme of
main characters changing but in this story the character that changes are the parents. The theme of
the main characters to take the step from childhood to adolescence because of their surroundings is
set up clearly in the introductions of all the stories where they ... Show more content on

He glanced down at the girl. I'm going,' he said. 'Dunno about you, but I'm going." Kerry is really
mad at this moment and he has realized how bad Mrs Rutters action is, Sandra on the other hand is a
bit more hesitant but in the end she follows Kerry: "She stared at the lacy cloth on the table, the
fluted china cup.' I will come too." Sandra and Kerry has at this stage both realized how bad Mrs
Rutter action was and the hate is too much for the both of them and from this these two have learned
a lesson and in the second last paragraph this is comprehensibly shown: "One moment you were
walking there in long grass with the sun on your hair and birds singing and the next you glimpsed
darkness, an inescapable darkness. The darkness was out there and it was a part of you and you
would never be without it." Mrs Rutter, the older character in this story has on purpose made the
character realize that the darkness is out there and being an adult is tough and brutal. In the story of
When The Wasps Drowned there is no clear indication of the characters learning a lesson from Mr
Mordecai's action but Therese, Tyler and the narrator are clearly affected by the situation: "My
fingers, fiddling unconsciously, played with the ring for a moment as we stood together in the dark
hallway. None of us said a thing. Taking Therese and Tyler by the hand, I turned, and we stepped

INTRODUCTION
INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP)
The IP provides a connectionless delivery system that is unreliable and on a best–effort basis. The IP
specifies the basic unit of data transfer in a TCP/IP internet as the datagram. Datagrams may be
delayed, lost, duplicated, delivered out of sequence, or intentionally fragmented, to permit a node
with limited buffer space to handle the IP datagram. It is the responsibility of the IP to reassemble
any fragmented datagrams. In some error situations, datagrams are silently discarded while in other
situations, error messages are sent to the originators (via the ICMP, a utility protocol.) The IP
specifications also define how to choose the initial path over which data will be sent, and defines a
set of rules governing the unreliable datagram service.
IPV6 Transition has been studied to find the best way of migrating internet network system from
using IPV4 to IPV6. Many mechanisms were purposed for transferring IPV4 packet on IPV6
network and IPV6 packet on IPV4 network. For example, IPV6 transition used End–to–End Tunnel
by employing the exchange control message between host and server then IPV6 data can be
transferred via IPV4 network .
In addition, the internet protocol IVI is another internet protocol translation method that let IPV4
and IPV6 on the difference architecture network can communicate

Comparision Of The Differences Between Hinduism And Buddhism
Hinduism and Buddhism are two of the most prominent religions in Asia. They both have two
different belief structures and many people don't know the difference between each of them.
Hinduism dates back to more than 2500 years ago. The modern break off of this religions is
Buddhism which accepts and declines some of the religious practices and beliefs that the Hinduism
followers had. While they share a lot of the similarities the differences just outweigh them.
Buddhism practices and rituals are purposely intended to provide help in the voyage to
enlightenment along with this it is supposed to bring protection to oneself and others around him.
Buddhism practices include: meditation, praying, chanting and vegetarianism. These have been long

One of the biggest differences between these two religions is that the Buddhism follows the
"Eightfold Path" while Hinduism strictly prohibits it. Instead Hinduism follows the Caste System
(Based from birth, If your parents are poor than you will be poor, if your parents are wealthy than
you will be wealthy). Hinduism and Buddhism also share the belief in reincarnation, that there is
different paths to enlightenment, and that suffering is caused by attachment to things and people in
the real world. While hinduism believes in the idea of atman and Brahman Buddhism denies that
you have have an external soul. Also Buddhism believes in obtaining nirvana through the eightfold
path and the four noble truths, where Hinduism believes there is multiple ways one can reach their
god. One last difference is that Buddhism believes that you should seek a god that no one is aware
of while Hinduism believes in the existence of many gods. Hinduism and Buddhism are very
different in some ways but can often have some of the same practices and rituals as each other. They
are both widely used religions that influence many people in India and areas around that country.
While they may have some totally divergent beliefs than us, it is still a widely followed religion, one
that goes at it a whole different

Comparing Core Competencies of Advanced Practice Nurses and Nurse Educators

  • 1. Comparision of the Competencies for Advanced Practice Nurses Advanced practice nurses have core competencies that are similar or are specific to each specialization defined as an advanced practice. The profession of nursing presents favorable circumstances for nurses to specialize in roles with distinct responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to the function of a health care industry with growing demands and complexity. The profession of nursing continues to debate to whom the title advanced practice nurse applies to. Examination of the core concept frame works described by nurse leaders and professional organizations tend to either support or refute the argument related to the use of the term, advanced practice nurse for nursing administrators and educators. For the purpose of this paper the author will explore the core competency similarities and differences of a nurse practitioner and a nurse educator. Nurse educators and nurse practitioners are registered nurses that possess advanced education, skills, and experience. Article one is different from article two and three in that the sample sized used was larger, therefore article one was able to obtain and full assessment. Article two and three where similar in their small sample size and was determined that more data was needed in order to have a reasonable assessment. Limitations of the Studies As a researcher it is important that one can identify the weakness of one's study. Limitations are the constraints of general and utility of the findings that are the direct result in which you chose to design the study and/or the method used to establish internal and external validity (Creswell, 2007). In all three articles limitations where identified. For example, article one sample size was large, however it restricted the age of the respondents, race age by 50 years, and many of the jurisdictions only having three respondents. Article one also concluded that transformational leaders may not be the result of hierarchical organizations. Article two limitations sample size was too small to create a full assessment. More qualitative research needed to be considered to explore the exact reasons why transformational and transactional leadership tend to lead companies with greater customer satisfaction (Emery and Barker 2007). Article three limitations where identified as student sampling was limited to one department of the university. In addition, more males would judge more favorable than females. Many causes and responses brewed out of these revolts. One cause is from religion issues (1,3,6) , Luther's idea of equality. Another cause is the peasant gaining power (2,8,9). As a result of these causes came out response, the most common response was riots and chaos (5,11,7). These revolts would end in thousands of rebel deaths and others are also killed. In the early 1500s religious reforms were constant throughout all of Germany, including the ideas of Martin Luther. Document 8 is the complete opposite perspective of the peasants gaining power and the revolt. Lorenz Fries is a catholic archbishop and the revolts are driven out of Luther's doctrines. He said that the peasants are troublesome and the revolt should be stopped, but he most likely said this to get people to turn their backs on Lutheranism and accept Catholicism. Although his report is a secret one so he probably wrote it secretly so that he would not be killed or hurt by the peasant's rebellion. In document 9, Caspar Nutzel, a noble, says that the peasants were blinded and they have gotten too strong. This document is also a response in that people have allowed the revolts to happen and the peasants have gone too far. Though this document should be approached with caution because he uses some absolute language in the regard to how the peasants act, and Nutzel might be stating this to keep his job as town councilor. The most common response to the revolts was chaos and rioting (5,11,7). In document 5, a theologian/journalist states what happened at Weinsburg when the peasants arrived there. ... Comparision Of Microscale Masses Of Hydrogen And Oxygen Abstract In this experiment, microscale quantities of hydrogen and oxygen were generated to test their explosive nature both separately and in mixtures of various proportions in order to identify the mixture with the most explosive energy, via a pop test that measured relative loudness, thus determining the optimal ratio for their combustion reaction to give water, and determine a mole ratio for the reaction in a balanced equation. Each gas mixture was then tested for power as fuel through the launching of a micro mole rocket. The gases were produced via two separate generators which isolated a chemical reaction to either produce oxygen or hydrogen gas, the reactions included the single– replacement reaction reaction of zinc and hydrochloric acid to generate hydrogen gas, and the yeast catalyzed decomposition of hydrogen peroxide to generate oxygen gas ... Gas collection bulbs were filled with different proportions of each gas, proportional to the number of moles of gas present, and were tested for relative loudness, which represented power/ explosive energy via a pop test in which a match was struck near the bulb. The ratios were tested for their ability to launch the bulb a distance during a rocket launch in which the bulb "rocket" was placed on a launch pad and ignited by a piezo sparker. Both dependent variables, distance and loudness represented overall explosion energy and were used to indicate which of the ratios represented the optimum ratio of hydrogen and oxygen to give water in a combustion reaction. When comparing the ancient Greek creation myth of Prometheus and the Judaeo–Christian Adam and Eve story we find some striking similarities in both of them. Analyzing Hesiod's Theogony and other sources we come to the conclusion that the old Greek religion did not include a direct link as to the creation of the humans. They just co–existed with the Gods. Maybe they sprang from Gaea herself, it is not certain. Other sources for the creation of man, point to Zeus giving the task of creating men and animals to the sons of Iapetus, Prometheus (before thought) and Epimetheus (after thought). They lived together in the garden for some time along with the other beasts until the serpent (who later on was said to have been satan) convinced Eve to eat the apple, telling her she would not die, but become a God. At this point, humanity lost it's innocence. Both Adam and Eve realised that they were naked and fashioned coverings for themselves. God was angry and to punish them they were sent into exile into the world. Their immortality was taken away and Angels called Cherubim were placed at the gates of Eden to guard the way to the Tree of Life. A flaming sword which spins in every direction was also placed to ward off intruders. It is interesting to note that Adam and Eve are mentioned in all the Judaeo religions including Islam. In the Qur'an Adam is regarded as a prophet (a person spoken to by God). Eve is mentioned ad Hawwa, his wife. In this version when Adam came to life, God sent a number of angels to fetch clay from the earth to form him and they took the clay from a variety of sources to signify the variety in human beings. Their version of Satan is Iblis who refuses to bow down to Adam when God orders the angels to do so and is banished from heaven Instead of eating an apple, it was a grape this time and the same thing followed (their expulsion and nakedness and humanity's notions as we know them today). ... Essay about Comparision of Wordsworth and Blake's Poems Authors, William Wordsworth and William Blake convey different messages and themes in their poems, "The World is Too Much with Us" and "The Tyger" consecutively by using the different mechanics one needs to create poetry. Both poems are closely related since they portray different aspects of society but the message remains different. Wordsworth's poem describes a conflict between nature and humanity, while Blake's poem issues God's creations of completely different creatures. In "The World is Too Much with Us," we figure the theme to be exactly what the title suggests: Humans are so self–absorbed with other things such as materialism that there's no time left for anything else. In "The Tyger" the theme revolves around the question of what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Imagery is clearly evident all throughout the poem, like for example, in lines 6–7, Wordsworth describes how the winds that used to be there are "fading" and "dormant" which makes the reader just picture himself being within nature at that moment. Metaphors and personification are in lines 5 and 7 with the phrase, "sleeping flowers" and "Sea bares her bosom," since the flowers and sea are given a humanlike quality. An apparent metaphor is given in the 10th line where the speaker mentions he rather be a pagan suckled in a creed outworn" which is being compared to a mother nursing a baby. Finally, there's a simile in lines 6–7 which compare the winds to "sleeping flowers." In "The Tyger," there are plenty of mechanics apparent to help develop the meaning of the poem. There's definitely a meter which makes the poem run smoothly and the rhyme scheme is AABB...and so on. Most of the punctuation used during the poem is question marks since William Blake writes this poem questioning this mysterious and fascinating creation of the "Tyger." The speaker is unclear in the poem but I think it's someone who can definitely vision the appearance of this captivating creature. The doctrines preached by Zoroaster are preserved in his metrical Gathas (psalms), which form part of the sacred scripture known as the Avesta. Zoroastrianism is one of the first monotheistic beliefs in the world. The beliefs are outlined in the Gathas. The basic tenets of the Gathas consist of a worship of Ahura Mazda and an ethical dualism opposing Truth and Lie, which permeate the entire universe. Upon death in Zoroastrianism a person's soul will be judged at the Bridge of Discrimination; the follower of Truth will cross and be led into paradise, and the adherents of Lie will fall into hell. Zoroastrianists believe that evil will be wiped off the face of the Earth and will be burnt. The Gathas and the Seven Chapters form part of the larger work, the Yasna. In the Yasna there are hymns that praise specific Gods, and the code of law that they are to follow. Both Judaism and Zoroastrinism share many characteristics in common. Comparision of Alexander the Great and Augustus Ceasar Alexander the Great and Augustus are two different individuals from two different time periods and they are both famous for their accomplishments. Alexander is one of the greatest military geniuses who by the age of 33 had conquered most of Asia. Alexander thought of himself as the son of Greek god Zeus. Augustus was the first emperor of Rome who brought peace and stability to the Roman Empire. He was the grandson of the sister of Julius Caesar. His original name was Caius Octavius, but when he was adopted by the Julian gens (44 B.C.) he became Caius Julius Caesar Octavianus (Octavian). He was named (given the title) Augustus later when he became the First Emperor or Rome by the senate. Augustus was seen as both a military leader as well as a religious leader. In my opinion they were both very important in their time because Alexander for being able to conquer lands all the way to Asia and Augustus for being the first emperor and having a nearly fifty years of peace (Pax Romana). But if I had to choose who was more important I would choose Augustus Caesar. Alexander the Great was the King of Macedonia. He is considered one of the greatest military geniuses of all times. He inspired later conquerors such as Hannibal the Carthaginian, the Romans Pompey, Caesar, and Napoleon. Alexander was born in 356 B.C. in Pella, the ancient capital of Macedonia. However, the two poems deal very differently with the subject of war, resulting in two very different pieces of writing. Concerning The Soldier, this poem is written in a classic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What is typically found in this type of sonnet is a problem being presented in the octave and the resolution in the sestet; however in this poem there is no such shift. By not implementing this change, Brooke can maintain his theme of patriotism throughout. Wilfred Owen's Dulce et Decorum Est is also written in iambic pentameter, however this rhythm is notably disrupted at one main specific point; when the mustard gas is dropped "GAS! Gas! Quick, boys! – An ecstasy of fumbling" This break in the established metre may have been included to represent the sense of panic that would have flooded the soldiers involved. This is also apparent in the line which describes the soldier 'drowning' in the gas. The final intentional disruption to the established rhythm comes in the final line, where it appears Owen is purposefully leaving iambic pentameter altogether, as if the words he is writing do not warrant being placed into an attractive pattern, due to the disgust he feels towards them. Therefore we have two poems which are deliberately changing their structure from the norm in order to create effect. However, these effects have totally different intentions, which lead to the end of the similarities and the first of many differences between the two poems. Owen's poem has the clear intention of showing the true nature of war to the reader, which is mainly achieved by contrasting reality against the ways in which war is so

  • 39. Augustus Caesar and Emperor Nero Comparision I believe that being a beloved leader has a huge effect on being a better ruler. In 44 B.C. Julius Caesar was assassinated by his senate chamber. Soon his nephew and adopted son, Gaius Octavian, would join forces with Mark Anthony and Marcus Aemilius Lepidus into a three–way dictatorship. This transformed Rome from being a Monarchy into being a dictatorship. Lepidus left Rome soon after Octavian began reign and went on to lead parts of Africa and Hispania. In 37 B.C. Mary Anthony met Cleopatra. They fell in love and Mark followed her back to Egypt. Octavian took reign over Rome and obtained the name Augustus Caesar. Mark Anthony and Augustus became enemies and war broke out between Rome and Egypt. This is one reason for why I believe that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These plays would go on for several days without any breaks. He attempted to set fire to Rome just so he could rebuild the city. In my opinion, the action that Nero is most known for is for persecuting of Jews. Nero would crucify Jews for spreading Christianity throughout Rome. Nero was the persecutor of the apostles Paul and Peter. Nero was a violent leader and a leader who was definitely, not beloved. In conclusion, being a leader that is beloved has a huge effect on being a better leader. For example, Augustus Caesar was so favored that his name was passed on through all the emperors all the way up to 476A.D. The roman citizen would hold festivals just in honor of Augustus. They loved Augustus which made Rome a happier place all in all. In the other hand Nero made Rome become a dark and violent empire. I believe that good rulers always work their hardest to please their people and have positive influences on them. • 41. A comparision of the degree of Racism in 'To Kill A... From Martin Luther King to Nelson Mandela and many more in between, people have tried to encourage the condemnation of prejudice. Harper Lee and Mildred D. Taylor have tried to do this using the medium of the novel. Many people would feel that the books could be set in the 19th century due to the significance of the prejudice and racism involved. They are actually set in the 1930s and, whilst these childhood accounts were written in the second half of the 20th century, the prejudice still existed at the time of writing and still occurs in inexcusable amounts today. Throughout both books, there are many instances where characters endure or cause suffering due to their unreasonable prejudice. The authors use some similar and some differing ... The way the author enables you to feel empathy for Cassie is what condemns prejudice. More of this open prejudice appears in Mr. Barnett 's shop, as he plainly ignores the black children in favour of a white woman, who had a lot more shopping than the black children: "Mr Barnett walked to another counter and began filling the order, but before he finished a white woman called, "Mr. Barnett, you waiting on anybody just now?" Mr. Barnett turned around, "Just them," he said, indicating to us with a wave of his hand. "What can I do for you, Miz Emmaline?" The woman handed him a list twice as long as T.J. 's and the storekeeper, without a word of apology to us, proceeded to fill it." After Mr. Barnett had displayed this blatant show of prejudice, Cassie went on to ask him why he wasn 't helping them. Mr. Barnett became exceptionally angry because he thought that Cassie was acting outrageously just by talking back to him, even though she spoke very politely. This is partly because he has no respect for black people in general but also because he just cannot believe that a young black girl would have the moral courage to act differently to the norm. Even though she acts in a manner that we could easily accept by today 's standards, Mr. Barnett thinks that she is conceited and a menace. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (R and G...) by Tom Stoppard is a transformation of Shakespeare's Hamlet that has been greatly influenced due to an external contextual shift. The sixteenth century Elizabethan historical and social context, accentuating a time of questioning had specific values which are transformed and altered in Stoppard's Existential, post two–world wars twentieth century historical and social context. The processes of transformation that are evident allow the shifts in ideas, values and external contexts to be clearly depicted. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Claudius' character demonstrates the theme of appearance or reality in Act One, through adopting an act as though he is grieving the loss of his brother. This is demonstrated in the line, "and that it us befitted/to bear our hearts in grief, and our whole kingdom/ to be contracted in one brow of woe". However, his tone of sorrow is really an appearance, as it was Claudius himself who murdered Hamlet Senior. This is proven in Claudius' soliloquy, the second climax to the play when he is praying. "O, my offence is rank; it smells to heaven...a brother's murder". His tone is filled with guilt and it is here the value of truth is displayed. Elizabethan's would have seen Claudius' deception and value the truthfulness of this climactic soliloquy, in a social context that recognised sin and believed in God's punishment and reward. This is juxtaposed by Stoppard in R and G... through using the Player to proclaim that everyone is acting. Basically a plasma monitor is a layer of gas between two gas plates. It works when voltage is applied, thus making the gas release an ultraviolet light, causing pictures and images you see on the plasma screen when you are watching TV. Plasma monitors are flat screen, thin, and lightweight which allows it to be hung from a wall. It also has a good contrast of colors causing images to be more vivid and colorful. The plasma screens also have good viewing angles meaning that from any angle in which one sits, images remain fairly solid. Plasmas were more expensive than LCD monitors but due to the fact that it uses more energy, LCD monitors have become popular which results in a rise of price. Nowadays both plasma and LCD screens are very similar in prices. Plasma screens are often compared to LCD screens since both are flat screen and have a thin profile. But there are much more differences between the two. First of all, plasma screens use plasma technology (as implied in its name) while LCD screens use liquid crystal technology. LCDs are more energy efficient and are lighter than similar sized plasmas. LCD may also have a longer lifespan and a better resolution while plasmas have better contrast of colors, better picture quality, and better viewing angles. But due to today's advanced technology, LCD and plasma screens are highly similar. So similar that these differences no longer can be that noticeable. In order to recommend between which of the two types of screens to purchase, it would depend first on what the buyer is looking for. If the buyer is looking for a big screen television ranged from fifty inches or larger, plasma screen would be better because it has more of a reasonable price for its size and it has a better picture quality for bigger screens. If the buyer is looking for a smaller television screen ranged from fifteen inches to forty–two inches, LCD screen would be better since its more lightweight, slimmer, and has a good resolution for its size. The novel could be perceived as a satire, satirizing our society because in our history, some groups of human beings have indeed reacted negatively to difference and diversity and persecuted them, resulting often in genocides as in the Holocaust, which killed approximately 6 million Jews. Being told what and how to be from a young age will take its toll on any person especially an impressionable teenager. Being that I have experienced these pressures, although not to the same extent as the girl in Piercy's poem, I can safely say that young adolescents tend to be quite multifaceted and sensitive which explains why criticism about one's appearance can damage their morale. This girl no longer had the will to battle the burdens she was feeling and the lines "So she cut off her nose and legs and offered them up" make reference to the fact that she committed suicide (Piercy, 867). I get the feeling in the last stanza that the girl may have had some physically altering surgery sometime before she took her life. Ironically, it is only when the young woman is lying dead in a casket that people begin to acknowledge her beauty. The last line is a very powerful one "To every woman a happy ending" (Piercy, 867). I disagree that the subject of the poem truly had a happy ending, but I do not feel the author meant it literally either. It seems the author means to deject the people in the girl's life who only saw her flaws and not her true beauty and intelligence. The evolutionary paths of man and art parallel one another; in that, the complexities, which have accompanied the millenniums, also have brought exponentially progressed forms of art. Sculpture is an art form that maintains a high quality of expression. Two examples of this are the Davids done by Michelangelo and Bernini. Michelangelo's David and Bernini's David represent their different time periods and artists while remaining similar. Michelangelo was born in 1475 near Florence. David's large hands represent his strength and are characteristic of the later mannerism style, while the rest of his form is somewhat true to the conventions of the High Renaissance (Shaked 1). Michelangelo's work embodies the influences of his time just as Bernini's. Bernini born was in Naples in 1598 and was turned on to art at an early age by his father. He grew up with influences such as Hellenistic nudes and Classicism, but his most important artistic factor was being in Rome during the Baroque movement (Dexter 1). Bernini took a different and fitting approach to sculpting David. It was Bernini's first major work, which he completed at the age of only twenty–one over a period of only seven months. Shakard writes, "[Bernini] depicted David as an artist (of war), using his hands as the means of his art (1). The work depicts him with his slingshot cocked back, his armor on the ground behind him because of it's weight and his harp shrouded at his feet. More important than any difference is the fact that these two forms of governments are democracies. Most people take part in political life by way of elections; this is common for both types of democracies. The President in a presidential system typically has a fixed term lasting four to eight years, due to the fact that it is more difficult to impeach a president versus a receiving a vote of no confidence (Carabajal). Furthermore, in a parliament system there is no strict separation of powers because the ministers are also members of legislature. There are however incredibly strict separation of powers in a presidential system. For example, in the United States , the President and the secretaries are not members of Congress (Comparison). Richler's Duddy Kravitz and Fitzgerald's Jay Gatsby, exemplifies the accomplishments that result from pursuing a dream. Othello is constantly referring to Iago as "Honest Iago" and entrusting him with important duties, such as attending to his wife when he leaves for Cyprus. Hamlet plays with Ophelia just like his mother plays with him. He plays with Ophelia's feeling and emotions just like his mother does with him. Hamlet sometimes does not act like a son, instead, he acts like he's Gertrude's lover, often asking questions about her relationship with Claudius. He is secretly attracted to his mother, which explains why he hates Claudius so much, apart from the fact that Claudius murdered his father. Claudius took away his chance of becoming the king and to have his mother, but those feelings, according to Freud, are hidden in his subconscious. He is angry at Claudius because deep down he wishes he had done everything Claudius had done including killing his father, taking the throne, and marrying his mother. The Oedipus Complex could be causing Hamlet's behavior and probably is the reason why he is struggling when it comes to revenge his father's murder. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Comparision of p–self Protection Problem Algorithms for Static Wireless Sensor Networks Nikitha Gullapalli Graduate Student, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, University of South Florida nikitha@mail.usf.edu Abstract – Wireless sensor networks are being widely used in many surveillance applications. Since sensor nodes are a critical part of sensor networks, certain level of protection needs to be provided to them. The self–protection problem focuses on using sensor nodes to provide protection to themselves instead of the target objects or certain target area so that the sensor nodes can resists the attacks targeting to them directly. In this paper we compare paper [1] and paper [2]. The key research question being asked, how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... KEY RESEARCH QUESTIONS 1. How to determine the minimum set of sensors for covering problems of sensor networks? Efficient centralized and distributed algorithms with constant approximation ratio for the minimum p–self–protection problem in sensor networks when all sensors have the same sensing radius. 2. Is finding minimum 1–self–protection a NP–complete? Yes, it is proved that finding minimum 1–self–protection is NP–complete by reducing the minimum set cover problem. 3. If MIS is selected to provide certain protection to nodes, what happens after some rounds when it already has p–protections? Purpose of selecting MIS is to provide certain protections to nodes that are not selected into the MIS. However, this may not be necessary after some rounds for some nodes when it already has p protections from selected active nodes Thus, for each node u, we again use p(u) to denote the protection level (i.e., the number of active sensors that can sense this node) that it already has achieved via previously activated sensors from MIS's. 4. Is there a smarter way to select the nodes instead of randomly? Instead of random selection of a sensor to cover each active sensor in MIS, we can use a smarter method to select the nodes to protect the MIS nodes with less than p protectors in the last steps of our algorithm. 5. As each sensor has limited power and resources, how to balance the energy consumption? To balance the energy consumption, one simple method proposed in this paper is ... When the Wasps Drowned by Clare Wigfall uses the wasps as a tool to show how their childhood changes and how they grow up, very similar to how Mrs Rutters tale in the story of The Darkness Out There by Penelope Lively changed Kerry and Sandra as individuals. Examination Day, though having a way different plot also has a theme of main characters changing but in this story the character that changes are the parents. The theme of the main characters to take the step from childhood to adolescence because of their surroundings is set up clearly in the introductions of all the stories where they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He glanced down at the girl. I'm going,' he said. 'Dunno about you, but I'm going." Kerry is really mad at this moment and he has realized how bad Mrs Rutters action is, Sandra on the other hand is a bit more hesitant but in the end she follows Kerry: "She stared at the lacy cloth on the table, the fluted china cup.' I will come too." Sandra and Kerry has at this stage both realized how bad Mrs Rutter action was and the hate is too much for the both of them and from this these two have learned a lesson and in the second last paragraph this is comprehensibly shown: "One moment you were walking there in long grass with the sun on your hair and birds singing and the next you glimpsed darkness, an inescapable darkness. The darkness was out there and it was a part of you and you would never be without it." Mrs Rutter, the older character in this story has on purpose made the character realize that the darkness is out there and being an adult is tough and brutal. In the story of When The Wasps Drowned there is no clear indication of the characters learning a lesson from Mr Mordecai's action but Therese, Tyler and the narrator are clearly affected by the situation: "My fingers, fiddling unconsciously, played with the ring for a moment as we stood together in the dark hallway. None of us said a thing. Taking Therese and Tyler by the hand, I turned, and we stepped ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Comparision Of Dual Stack Vs Tunneling A COMPARISION OF DUAL STACK VS TUNNELING IN A MIXED IPV4 / IPV6 ENVIRONMENT SHAILA_MODEM_13777MS BATCH : SAT 3:15 PM INTRODUCTION INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) The IP provides a connectionless delivery system that is unreliable and on a best–effort basis. The IP specifies the basic unit of data transfer in a TCP/IP internet as the datagram. Datagrams may be delayed, lost, duplicated, delivered out of sequence, or intentionally fragmented, to permit a node with limited buffer space to handle the IP datagram. It is the responsibility of the IP to reassemble any fragmented datagrams. In some error situations, datagrams are silently discarded while in other situations, error messages are sent to the originators (via the ICMP, a utility protocol.) The IP specifications also define how to choose the initial path over which data will be sent, and defines a set of rules governing the unreliable datagram service. IPV6 Transition has been studied to find the best way of migrating internet network system from using IPV4 to IPV6. Many mechanisms were purposed for transferring IPV4 packet on IPV6 network and IPV6 packet on IPV4 network. For example, IPV6 transition used End–to–End Tunnel by employing the exchange control message between host and server then IPV6 data can be transferred via IPV4 network . In addition, the internet protocol IVI is another internet protocol translation method that let IPV4 and IPV6 on the difference architecture network can communicate ... • 82. Comparision Of The Differences Between Hinduism And Buddhism Hinduism and Buddhism are two of the most prominent religions in Asia. They both have two different belief structures and many people don't know the difference between each of them. Hinduism dates back to more than 2500 years ago. The modern break off of this religions is Buddhism which accepts and declines some of the religious practices and beliefs that the Hinduism followers had. While they share a lot of the similarities the differences just outweigh them. Buddhism practices and rituals are purposely intended to provide help in the voyage to enlightenment along with this it is supposed to bring protection to oneself and others around him. Buddhism practices include: meditation, praying, chanting and vegetarianism. These have been long ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the biggest differences between these two religions is that the Buddhism follows the "Eightfold Path" while Hinduism strictly prohibits it. Instead Hinduism follows the Caste System (Based from birth, If your parents are poor than you will be poor, if your parents are wealthy than you will be wealthy). Hinduism and Buddhism also share the belief in reincarnation, that there is different paths to enlightenment, and that suffering is caused by attachment to things and people in the real world. While hinduism believes in the idea of atman and Brahman Buddhism denies that you have have an external soul. Also Buddhism believes in obtaining nirvana through the eightfold path and the four noble truths, where Hinduism believes there is multiple ways one can reach their god. One last difference is that Buddhism believes that you should seek a god that no one is aware of while Hinduism believes in the existence of many gods. Hinduism and Buddhism are very different in some ways but can often have some of the same practices and rituals as each other. They are both widely used religions that influence many people in India and areas around that country. While they may have some totally divergent beliefs than us, it is still a widely followed religion, one that goes at it a whole different ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
