- In order to paint a broader picture of the poultry industry, I will provide some data. The poultry industry was a $400B one in 2012 and it’s expected to become 45% larger by 2030. Feed expenses are relatively consistent worldwide and comprise 50% to 70% of the overall cost to raise poultry. The current cost to produce one kilogram of poultry meat is roughly $1.70 worldwide. There is a lot to improve on and a very large playground.
- Old MacDonald had a farm and on his farm he had some poultry. But old MacDonald had to close his farm down, because he wasn't making enough money. The problem was that he was spending about 50 to 70 percent of his overall costs on the feed.
