capaz.

Self-esteem is formed along OUR LIFE
The process of formation of self-esteem starts from our earliest age and continues throughout adulthood. In the
formation of self-esteem affects the following family environment and the cultural context in which we develop.
Family patterns are transmitted influencing their configuration, not only the relationship with the adult world,
especially with the father and mother, but also the variable appreciation becomes our behavior and what is expected
of us.
From small internalize a set of beliefs about what is expected of us that we take and, upon reaching adulthood tend
to reaffirm.
Both the family and cultural models shape our self-esteem, so it is important to observe and review be aware of the
negative patterns that have internalized what can change.
THINGS TO DO THE SAME
Change estimates to promote and encourage positive way, it is to act on the various components thereof:
• cognitive component involves acting on "what I think" to change our negative and irrational thoughts and replace
them with positive and rational thoughts.
• affective component, involves acting on "what I feel" about the emotions and feelings we have about ourselves.
• behavioral component, it acts on "what I do", ie, behavior, modify our actions.
The three components are closely interrelated, so that acting on one of them, we obtain the other two effects. If I
change a negative thought about myself for a positive, sure I'll feel better about myself and this feeling of being
thrust me to act, probably doing something I do not think I could.
