Review:
JKP was written by a very well-known writer Nimra Ahmed. There were many controversies
related to this novel’s treasure hunt riddles. People have even stated that the content is not
original but I won’t focus in these matters. This novel covered many genres. This novel is
full of mystery, suspense, love, teachings and exotic travelling spots entertainment, climax,
love, hatred, betrayal, curiosity, Islamic teachings, twist, adventures, uniqueness in the
storyline and a superb content which a reader wants to read. Jannat Ke Pattay is a story of
Courage, Reality, Struggle and Faith which makes Novel Reader Thrilled, Fascinated and
Awed.
This novel is very close to reality… but in most cases this seems that story is imaginative
and character’s personality also. Just like Jahan character.
Main Theme: The Main theme of this novel could be explained in terms of the main
characters Haya and Jahan. One side of the story revolves around the topic of “Hijaab “and
how one verse of Quran could change her life forever. The transformation of a modern girl
(Haya) to a Hijaabi girl was the main essence of this novel. The Other side of the story
depicts the life of a spyguy Jahan and his duty’s severe. Mr. Suleiman has two children,
Haya and Rohail.Rohail has been studying in U.S and Haya has been selected for a
scholarship from the European Union and she leaves for Turkey for about five months. The
main reason of Haya to apply for this scholarship is Jahan. These two characters are
connected together by a sacred childhood bond i.e. Nikkah, that was forgotten. Jahan’s
mother (Haya’s phopho)Sabeen lives in Turkey that’s why she was very excited for the
scholarship. The theme was very well described in the novel. It gave a huge supportto
Hijaabi girl. Girls really get inspired by this novel if they want an inspiration. Some of my
favorite lines from this novel which related to the theme are:
“Agarapko koijannat kaipatty la kar Dy to unhy tham lijeye ga wo apko ruswa hony
sy bacha len gy”

"If someone brings you the leaves of paradise, you will acceptthem and they will save
you from disgrace".
The Amazing and Magnificent portrayal of Turkey would actually make you add this
country to your tourism list. The Bosphorus Bridge, one of the two suspension
bridges spanning in Istanbul connects Europe and Asia. I knew alot about Turkey through
this novel and I am thankful to Nimra Ahmed for this pleasing introduction. The way novel
portrayed Turkey and described all about Turkish culture and its places, made me love with
Turkey.
Suspenseand detective touch has been added to this novel. The arrival of flowers and
congratulating Haya for the scholarship from ARP was very shocking .It actually made me
feel that someone is spying on Haya. Many characters such as Major Ahmed, Khawaja Sira,
Pinky and Dolly added to the suspenseelement of this story. It was quite surprising actually
to see that whenever Haya was in trouble Major Ahmed, Khawaja Sira, Pinky or Dolly
would help her. They were like blessing in disguise. But I personally thought they were
obscure.
Major Ahmed was displayed as Cybercrime Agency worker. He removed the dancing video
of Haya and Irum (Haya’s cousin) from the webs and actually did give Haya a strange
advice about Jannat kay pattay. Dolly saved Haya from Waleed’s trap and it was spoton and
he bashed her saying “Be-Haya, Be-haya”. Halay was another positive character added.
Aeshyae Gull and Bahary were my favorite characters as they helped Haya to understand
and to direct her life according to the teachings of Islam. The best scenes were collecting the
pearls and Surah Al-Ehzab riddle. It was when haya made a decision to wear Hijab, the
meaning of the riddle appeared and the unanswered part was answered at the end. There
were so many characters added just to create suspenseand mystery but in my opinion the
novel would have been much pleasing and captivating without this too much character. It
create a lot of skepticism

Turkey changed Haya forever. The journey of problems took a very interesting turn when
she reached Turkey with her friend DJ. The flight scene and the introduction of ARP made
me sense some danger. ARP (Abdul Rehman Pasha) was characterizing as the well-known
smuggler and Haya was warned to take good care of her against him. Haya’s meeting with
Jahan was formal. Haya and DJ showed a really good chemistry and became very close
friends. It was DJ who took Jahan with her and Haya to travel Turkey. The scene when the
hotel was destroyed I feel very pity for Jahan. The death scene of DJ was really heart
wrenching and it was magnificently connected with this philosophy.
“Cheezain waqtihotin hain toot jatin hain bikharjatin hain, rawayedaymihoty hain
apna asarchor jaty hain”
("Thingsare temporary, they break down, and scattered, attitudesare demystified, and
they leavetheir mark”)
And the other lesson was hidden in horrifying character of “Natasha” part where Haya got
burned and she felt the torture of hell-fire. These were life-long lessons for Haya. The
adventure of Haya to find Jahan and enjoying the hot air balloon ride was sweet. One more
thing the forced hijab and the restrictions in the family of Haya exposed some character’s
filthy actions. As Haya’s hijab was not by force it was a heart’s decision she loved and she
respected it and the way she fought along without uttering anything to Jahan showed the
strength of his character.
This was the most interesting part of the novel. Treasure Hunt riddles added a lot more of
mystery content to this novel. In my opinion it was really interesting and gripping while
Haya was trying to solve them. The famous quote of Heraclitus was very well introduced
and the puzzle boxwas my favorite. It was very clever way of using these riddles in
appropriate conditions.
Jahan sakandar_The other half of the novel. He understood Quran very deeply and this
was shown by Nimra Ahmed in the Tafseer of Surah Al-Falaq. Jahan was definitely
suffering from inferiority complex because of the past of his disloyal father. The early period

of his life and his conceptof Mara-e-Jameela (very beautiful) was well written. He was a
spy and the torture cell part showed his intelligent mind. He loved his country and was
serving him in a bestway possible. He didn’t want Haya to come to Turkey as she would
know about his secrets. The way he helped Haya was out of this world and a bit filmy at
times. He didn’t like haya because she didn’t fulfill what Mara-e-Jameela ofJahan
demands but later on he admires her. The restaurant part was not impressive at all.
It was very amazing when Nimra Ahmed Connect the characters. It was little bit confusing
because as I mentioned above so many characters, so many things happened at the same
time, but I have a confessionNimra Ahmad did connected them amazingly and at the end of
the novel everything fell into perspective all and all.
It was a good novel there was much dragging. It was a long novel and it had a happy
ending. The main purposeof the novel was to convey a very beautiful n memorable message
for all of us that, we made several faults in our life and remain unaware of them, but when
ALLAH ta'la decides to make us to repent and learn of our deeds, he assess us on the basis
of taking the sacrifice of our m0st dear thing. In sucha way, it shows that modernism is not
s0mething to be reliable. It is a temporary phase that must come to an end and what will long
lasting, is our faith, our deeds.
Here, some lines that I like most from the novel:
1. Good girls obey every word of Allah; they don’tgo everywhere, they don't meet
everyone, they don’tsay everything.
2. Must every house be built upon love? What about loyalty & appreciation?
(Omer Bin Khatab )
3. “How can you do sin with hands you used for prayers?”
4. "I could not make Rehman angry to please Rehman's servant ... I could not lie ..."
5. His big eyes will get wet... "Whoever lies as good as Baharey! This world
belongs to him" "But then it doesn'thave an afterlife," says Ayesha Gul.

6. Someone told me that I can't get light without beating my heart and I thought what
is light? You know what light is. Tears put a snare around my neck. Yes, one part
is not denied to the other
It is also a treasure about many usual topics. The novel, by the character of Haya, shows that
how we take many important things for granted but they are not like this at all. Hijab and
Niqab is no way a barrier to even enjoy worldly success. Itdefinitely has no effect on your
intelligence and how well you can present yourself and prove yourself in a business race.
Haya's character proved that. I loved Haya's innocence and intelligence whenever she
explained her "reasoning" for wearing Hijab and Niqab. She didn't want to end up
quarrelling with people. . The very special thing in this novel is it is all about hijab and how
our society reacts when someone move towards the right path. This bookis amazing. It
encourages you to becomestrong and confident women and to believe that if you are right
and if you believe in Allah Almighty then there is no power that can hurt you or bring you
down. And it’s the most beautiful message. This bookremoves your doubts and strengthens
your faith and Iman. If you’re learning about Islam or if you want to learn about Islam then
you really need to read it. This bookis filled with pearls of wisdom. Every sentence strikes
and hits you with full pressure and forces you to rethink. Rethink about your decisions, your
life and yourself.
The novel is a masterpiece novel with moralistic lessons. The only thing I do not like about
the novel is that the novel was too long which made it boring sometimes. The bookis also
slow and there’s a lot of excessive writing. There are long, long descriptions and it wouldn’t
even matter if you skip these long parts. Overall it is a worth reading novel. I would
recommend this bookto every girl who is struggling with life and wants to make a change.
Thosewho do not read novels should read this novel they will really love it. I assure you,
you wouldn’t be able to put it down once you pick it up!

  • 3. REVIEW ON JANNATKAI PATTY NOVEL 3 | P a g e Ka Taj Mahal, Sans Sakin Thi, Guman, Had etc… Review: JKP was written by a very well-known writer Nimra Ahmed. There were many controversies related to this novel’s treasure hunt riddles. People have even stated that the content is not original but I won’t focus in these matters. This novel covered many genres. This novel is full of mystery, suspense, love, teachings and exotic travelling spots entertainment, climax, love, hatred, betrayal, curiosity, Islamic teachings, twist, adventures, uniqueness in the storyline and a superb content which a reader wants to read. Jannat Ke Pattay is a story of Courage, Reality, Struggle and Faith which makes Novel Reader Thrilled, Fascinated and Awed. This novel is very close to reality… but in most cases this seems that story is imaginative and character’s personality also. Just like Jahan character. Main Theme: The Main theme of this novel could be explained in terms of the main characters Haya and Jahan. One side of the story revolves around the topic of “Hijaab “and how one verse of Quran could change her life forever. The transformation of a modern girl (Haya) to a Hijaabi girl was the main essence of this novel. The Other side of the story depicts the life of a spyguy Jahan and his duty’s severe. Mr. Suleiman has two children, Haya and Rohail.Rohail has been studying in U.S and Haya has been selected for a scholarship from the European Union and she leaves for Turkey for about five months. The main reason of Haya to apply for this scholarship is Jahan. These two characters are connected together by a sacred childhood bond i.e. Nikkah, that was forgotten. Jahan’s mother (Haya’s phopho)Sabeen lives in Turkey that’s why she was very excited for the scholarship. The theme was very well described in the novel. It gave a huge supportto Hijaabi girl. Girls really get inspired by this novel if they want an inspiration. Some of my favorite lines from this novel which related to the theme are: “Agarapko koijannat kaipatty la kar Dy to unhy tham lijeye ga wo apko ruswa hony sy bacha len gy”
  • 4. REVIEW ON JANNATKAI PATTY NOVEL 4 | P a g e "If someone brings you the leaves of paradise, you will acceptthem and they will save you from disgrace". The Amazing and Magnificent portrayal of Turkey would actually make you add this country to your tourism list. The Bosphorus Bridge, one of the two suspension bridges spanning in Istanbul connects Europe and Asia. I knew alot about Turkey through this novel and I am thankful to Nimra Ahmed for this pleasing introduction. The way novel portrayed Turkey and described all about Turkish culture and its places, made me love with Turkey. Suspenseand detective touch has been added to this novel. The arrival of flowers and congratulating Haya for the scholarship from ARP was very shocking .It actually made me feel that someone is spying on Haya. Many characters such as Major Ahmed, Khawaja Sira, Pinky and Dolly added to the suspenseelement of this story. It was quite surprising actually to see that whenever Haya was in trouble Major Ahmed, Khawaja Sira, Pinky or Dolly would help her. They were like blessing in disguise. But I personally thought they were obscure. Major Ahmed was displayed as Cybercrime Agency worker. He removed the dancing video of Haya and Irum (Haya’s cousin) from the webs and actually did give Haya a strange advice about Jannat kay pattay. Dolly saved Haya from Waleed’s trap and it was spoton and he bashed her saying “Be-Haya, Be-haya”. Halay was another positive character added. Aeshyae Gull and Bahary were my favorite characters as they helped Haya to understand and to direct her life according to the teachings of Islam. The best scenes were collecting the pearls and Surah Al-Ehzab riddle. It was when haya made a decision to wear Hijab, the meaning of the riddle appeared and the unanswered part was answered at the end. There were so many characters added just to create suspenseand mystery but in my opinion the novel would have been much pleasing and captivating without this too much character. It create a lot of skepticism
  • 5. REVIEW ON JANNATKAI PATTY NOVEL 5 | P a g e Turkey changed Haya forever. The journey of problems took a very interesting turn when she reached Turkey with her friend DJ. The flight scene and the introduction of ARP made me sense some danger. ARP (Abdul Rehman Pasha) was characterizing as the well-known smuggler and Haya was warned to take good care of her against him. Haya’s meeting with Jahan was formal. Haya and DJ showed a really good chemistry and became very close friends. It was DJ who took Jahan with her and Haya to travel Turkey. The scene when the hotel was destroyed I feel very pity for Jahan. The death scene of DJ was really heart wrenching and it was magnificently connected with this philosophy. “Cheezain waqtihotin hain toot jatin hain bikharjatin hain, rawayedaymihoty hain apna asarchor jaty hain” ("Thingsare temporary, they break down, and scattered, attitudesare demystified, and they leavetheir mark”) And the other lesson was hidden in horrifying character of “Natasha” part where Haya got burned and she felt the torture of hell-fire. These were life-long lessons for Haya. The adventure of Haya to find Jahan and enjoying the hot air balloon ride was sweet. One more thing the forced hijab and the restrictions in the family of Haya exposed some character’s filthy actions. As Haya’s hijab was not by force it was a heart’s decision she loved and she respected it and the way she fought along without uttering anything to Jahan showed the strength of his character. This was the most interesting part of the novel. Treasure Hunt riddles added a lot more of mystery content to this novel. In my opinion it was really interesting and gripping while Haya was trying to solve them. The famous quote of Heraclitus was very well introduced and the puzzle boxwas my favorite. It was very clever way of using these riddles in appropriate conditions. Jahan sakandar_The other half of the novel. He understood Quran very deeply and this was shown by Nimra Ahmed in the Tafseer of Surah Al-Falaq. Jahan was definitely suffering from inferiority complex because of the past of his disloyal father. The early period
  • 6. REVIEW ON JANNATKAI PATTY NOVEL 6 | P a g e of his life and his conceptof Mara-e-Jameela (very beautiful) was well written. He was a spy and the torture cell part showed his intelligent mind. He loved his country and was serving him in a bestway possible. He didn’t want Haya to come to Turkey as she would know about his secrets. The way he helped Haya was out of this world and a bit filmy at times. He didn’t like haya because she didn’t fulfill what Mara-e-Jameela ofJahan demands but later on he admires her. The restaurant part was not impressive at all. It was very amazing when Nimra Ahmed Connect the characters. It was little bit confusing because as I mentioned above so many characters, so many things happened at the same time, but I have a confessionNimra Ahmad did connected them amazingly and at the end of the novel everything fell into perspective all and all. It was a good novel there was much dragging. It was a long novel and it had a happy ending. The main purposeof the novel was to convey a very beautiful n memorable message for all of us that, we made several faults in our life and remain unaware of them, but when ALLAH ta'la decides to make us to repent and learn of our deeds, he assess us on the basis of taking the sacrifice of our m0st dear thing. In sucha way, it shows that modernism is not s0mething to be reliable. It is a temporary phase that must come to an end and what will long lasting, is our faith, our deeds. Here, some lines that I like most from the novel: 1. Good girls obey every word of Allah; they don’tgo everywhere, they don't meet everyone, they don’tsay everything. 2. Must every house be built upon love? What about loyalty & appreciation? (Omer Bin Khatab ) 3. “How can you do sin with hands you used for prayers?” 4. "I could not make Rehman angry to please Rehman's servant ... I could not lie ..." 5. His big eyes will get wet... "Whoever lies as good as Baharey! This world belongs to him" "But then it doesn'thave an afterlife," says Ayesha Gul.
  • 7. REVIEW ON JANNATKAI PATTY NOVEL 7 | P a g e 6. Someone told me that I can't get light without beating my heart and I thought what is light? You know what light is. Tears put a snare around my neck. Yes, one part is not denied to the other It is also a treasure about many usual topics. The novel, by the character of Haya, shows that how we take many important things for granted but they are not like this at all. Hijab and Niqab is no way a barrier to even enjoy worldly success. Itdefinitely has no effect on your intelligence and how well you can present yourself and prove yourself in a business race. Haya's character proved that. I loved Haya's innocence and intelligence whenever she explained her "reasoning" for wearing Hijab and Niqab. She didn't want to end up quarrelling with people. . The very special thing in this novel is it is all about hijab and how our society reacts when someone move towards the right path. This bookis amazing. It encourages you to becomestrong and confident women and to believe that if you are right and if you believe in Allah Almighty then there is no power that can hurt you or bring you down. And it’s the most beautiful message. This bookremoves your doubts and strengthens your faith and Iman. If you’re learning about Islam or if you want to learn about Islam then you really need to read it. This bookis filled with pearls of wisdom. Every sentence strikes and hits you with full pressure and forces you to rethink. Rethink about your decisions, your life and yourself. The novel is a masterpiece novel with moralistic lessons. The only thing I do not like about the novel is that the novel was too long which made it boring sometimes. The bookis also slow and there’s a lot of excessive writing. There are long, long descriptions and it wouldn’t even matter if you skip these long parts. Overall it is a worth reading novel. I would recommend this bookto every girl who is struggling with life and wants to make a change. Thosewho do not read novels should read this novel they will really love it. I assure you, you wouldn’t be able to put it down once you pick it up!
