Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, founder
of the Tata Group, opened the Taj
Mahal Palace, a hotel in Mumbai
(formerly called Bombay)
overlooking the Arabian Sea, on 16
December 1903. It was the first Taj
property and the first Taj hotel.

(1839–1904), founded the Tata
Group
•The Taj West End is a Resort property. The property is specially loved by people who
like to reside in nature’s lap. It is 20 acres garden paradise with ancient colonial
legacy which was started by Bronson’s in 18th century in 1887 with horse stables and
carriages, catering to the British cavalry. It’s one of the oldest properties in
Bangalore.
