3. Project Brief
Edexcsl based education which
Buddhi follows required spaces
organized differently from
conventional schools following
regular Indian syllabi, and also
allowed for flexibility in the
design. Buddhi encourages
inclusive education and children
with special abilities are
welcomed and cared for. The
school thus needed to be
completely accessible. The
school's intake is kept very low
and total occupancy is 200
children.

The classrooms are open, comfortable, well lit, and
visually stimulating to maximize the learning potential.
It is sufficiently spacious.Evey classroom has a fire
extinguisher.

dimension.
The façade is treated with exposed cement brick concrete
and bricks.

almost all the 630,000
litres of water falling on
its roof in an average
year of rain. This water is
filtered once again and
used to meet the school’s
water requirements.
From the 700 sq. m roof area all
the rainwater is led through
rainwater pipes into filters and
thence to a 100,000-litre storage
sump located within the school
building below the dining room.
