The flat seam and gently inclined seam take 55%, and the inclined low seam and Steeply inclined
low seam take 45% (among which, the seam with the inclination of 35. - 70. takes 30% of the total) .

There’re various disaster factors such as water, fire, gas, coal dust, hydrogen sulfide and roof
existing in all the mines of Sichuan Coal Industry Group Limited Liability Company to varying
degree . The disasters gets severe and serious with the increase of the mining depth.
Coal seam gas-bearing capacity is 10-25 m3/t, maximum coal seam gas pressure is 4.85MPa.
They are all the coal seam with low gas permeability and hard to exploit.

Developed with our domestic partners, we firstly realized the integrated and mechanized
mining technology for the edge seams(35-55°). For the Lvshuidong Coal Mine, we
solved the technical problems of skid resistance and safety protection of the Coal Cutter,
Conveyor, Hydraulic Support.

The efficiency improvement of Lvshuidong Coal Mine after taking the
integrated mining technology.
The annual output increased by 469% and recovery of resources increased by more
than 1 times which reached the international leading level.
By continuous research and study for years, we achieved:
The edge seams mining have been improved from about 30°to 60°;
Our technologyhas been applied in Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Yunnan, Hunan and
other large provinces and cities with a total number of more
than 20.

To solve the technical difficulty of seam inclination over 60 ° and these under 60°but with soft and
sloughing- prone seam, we among with other domestic expertpartners developedthe steeply
inclined seams pseudo-pitchpuppetdownward integrated mining technologyand complete setof
equipment.
This technologywas first tested and applied in Liziya South Coal Mine which is a coal and gas
outburst mine.
The tested working face oblique 58 meters long. Its average thickness of coal was 1.93m,and its
average dip angle was 62°(somewas 70°). During the testing period,the average monthly
productionwas around 21,000 tons. No serious injury or other accidentwas reported and the
safety conditionwas very good.

Case: FMM-Sublevel Caving Mining Tech was adopted by Sichuan Coal Group Panmei
Company in Dabaoding Coal Mine, and achieved 100,000 ton output monthly on the working
face with 4.7m coal thickness and 45°inclination angle.
(4)The Thick Seam Mining with Large Dip Angle Integrated One-pass
Mining Technology
The test was started from June 2013, in Huashan Coal Mine 4238 working face and achieved
great success.
The testing production working face’s total thickness was 4.5-5.5m,and the dip angle was
38°-45°
The Yield level reached 70,000 tons. And the recovery of resources was improved. It also
enriched the diversity of our mining technology as well.
