To tackle global and societal challenges like the SDG’s and Climate Change - we need collaborations at a scale beyond individual projects and organisations. We need to invest in building our portfolio capabilities - so that we can have scalable impact and work across the whole system for transformation. By orchestrating entire innovation ecosystems, we can bridge and create coherence between the adaptive and practical efforts that are at play. This session will focus on building an understanding of the capabilities and capacities that are needed in organisations to work in systems transformations. 5. We build impactful urban solutions for 1,5°C world. We tackle
wicked problems in the areas of mobility, energy, built
environment, waste and water, and consumer solutions.
We accelerate the transition to climate positive cities with new
business and higher quality of life. We are an ecosystem
orchestrator, bringing in all the relevant actors and coordinating
the process.
We are a unique PPP model, a shared tool of the Helsinki
Region’s cities, businesses, research institutes and the Finnish
state. Our foundation has a fixed five year term (2016–2021),
secured funding from both private and public sector, and the board
of directors consisting of CEO’s, Mayors and high level executives.
