This sermon discusses the importance of godly character. It uses the biblical story of Abigail as an example of maintaining godly character despite difficult circumstances. Abigail remained faithful to God and acted wisely even though she was married to the foolish and wicked Nabal. She saved others from harm through her courage and level-headedness. The sermon encourages developing character through positive thinking, knowing one's identity and purpose in God, and emulating Jesus' example of selfless service. It closes by urging listeners to prepare to meet God through cultivating godly character.

Editor's Notes
We sometimes think we can move away from our problems, but find we just bring them with us. No matter where you go, you bring yourself with you - so the same problems can continue in a different place.
Very important element, crux of the matter, to do with love affair, issues to do with the mind.
For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).
Become mostly miserable and grumpy?,,, leave the faith? Or remain faithful and pure.
His name means fool. And he indeed lived to his name. A Calebite, Not only did Nabal refuse to help David, he made insulting comments. David’s was quite a reasonable request, sent at a very appropriate time, and could have also been given in the spirit of the festive season.
A bride trapped to a marriage that she didn’t choose… but amazingly she protected her husband from David and even from himself.
Abigail knew David…
Despite her circumstances, Abigail didn't focus on what she situation she was in. Instead she made haste in both making a good decision and to implement it.
This golden message is in Isaiah 54:5: “For thy maker is thy husband, the Lord of hosts is his name and thy redeemer the Holy one of Israel, the God of the whole heart shall he be called”
Revelations 19:6-9 : “And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude and as the voice of many waters and as the voice of mighty thundering saying, Alleluia for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints. And he saith unto me, write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage super of the Lamb. And he saith unto him, These are true sayings of God.”
Will you come towards Him today, not only in your feelings, but also in your heart.
