Definition:
Impression: number of recorded times an AD appear on a screen and generate an opportunity for the Ad to be seen by an end user. Measurement of responses from a web server to a page request from the user browser, which is filtered from robotic activity and error codes and is recorded at a point as close as possible to opportunity to see the page by the user.
CPM: Acronym for "cost per thousand" ad impressions, an industry standard measure for selling ads on websites. This measure is taken from print advertising. The "M" is taken from the Roman numeral for "thousand."
Inventory: The total number of impressions that a website/mobile app/embedded devices has to sell over a given period of time (usually figured by the month).
