Hygiene is a series of practices performed to preserve health.
In simple words , hygiene is the act of being clean. Washing
the body to remove dirt and germs, brushing the teeth to
keep them clean, shaving, using the toilet properly, and
dressing correctly are all a part of proper hygiene. This
presentation deals with how we can maintain proper health
and hygiene in schools , its importance , the meaning of food
and medical hygiene and vaccinations .

2. HOW TO MAINTAIN PERSONAL HYGIENE AT SCHOOL :
Wash hands with soap and water ( for at least 20 seconds ) or use
a sanitizer before eating ; after using the toilet , playing outside ,
coughing , sneezing or touching dirty surfaces .
1. Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze to avoid spreading
germs to those around you.
2. Ensure that your fingernails are clipped every week .
3. Follow proper bathing and brushing habits . Bathing every day and
brushing twice a day is essential .
4. Avoid close contact with sick individuals .
5. Avoid attending school if sick to prevent spread of illness .

4. HOW SCHOOLS CAN
MAINTAIN HYGIENE
Carrying out a deep clean
The schools must ensure that the cleaning staff
is in hygienic state to carry out thorough deep
cleaning hard surfaces with warm soapy
water, disinfecting with regular cleaning products,
and ensuring that particular attention is paid to
areas and surfaces in bathrooms such as toilets,
grab-rails in corridors and stairwells, and
door handles.

5.  Promoting social distancing
To maintain social distancing in school, certain
staff and pupils may need to stay 2m apart. To
do this, floor stickers and markers should be used and
classrooms should be reorganized so the students sit
at a sufficient distance apart from each other.
 Promoting good hygiene practices
Maintaining good hygiene practices will be essential
to keeping students and staff safe. Schools must make
sure that they have plenty of hand sanitizer available as
well as mobile hand washing stations and hygienic
hand dryers located around the school. It is also a good
idea to put up posters regarding health and safety
measures around the school

6.  Discouraging assemblies
As part of social distancing rules, staff members
should be discouraged from holding assemblies.
Large gatherings such as this can promote the spread
of COVID-19, therefore schools should consider
promoting other methods of communication instead,
such as in-class announcements.

exacerbates stunting.
 Body odor probably the

poor personal hygiene. Not
only does it lead to
discomfort and an
embarrassing situation for
those around you, but there
are also other
consequences. You could
develop allergies, constant
itching, and the result of
being socially isolated due
to your condition.

14.  Body lice infestation is quite uncomfortable and
hazardous to your health.These lice are small insects
that live and lay eggs in clothing and bedding.They
also feed on the residues found on your skin.
 Poor health can limit one’s ability to work, reduce
economic opportunities, inhibit educational
attainment, and lead to medical debt and
bankruptcy.
 Individuals suffering from illness may be weak,
unable to work or study and generally unable to
provide for children and other dependants. At a more
aggregated level, however, it seems likely that a high
disease burden may have an adverse impact on a
country's productivity, growth and, ultimately,
economic development.

Food Hygiene, otherwise known as Food Safety can be defined as
handling, preparing and storing food or drink in a way that best
reduces the risk of consumers becoming sick from the food-borne
disease.The principles of food safety aim to prevent food from
becoming contaminated and causing food poisoning.

Pfizer etc. Each vaccine has 2 doses, both of which are necessary
for protection.
