Case study:
There was an issue with the positioning of some equipment in a CER. The contractor had tried to
explain to the agent with sketches and photos but it was not efficient or effective, causing frustration
and lost time.
By utilising a 3D Virtual scan, The necessary work WAS completed and the problem solved in 6 hours.
Saving the client a little over £5K in additional expenses and about 72 hours.

7. Another major advantage of a Virtual 3D scan is that once completed it is presented and
submitted as a link. So no waiting for big loads and clearing space on your hard drive or
server.
As soon as you press send the receiver connects straight away, once again saving time, so no
more emailing of large documents, photos and designs using outside data management
systems thus also navigating GDPR protocols.
Once you have the 3D Scan you can obtain the xyz or obj files and with Point Cloud the scan can
then be converted using either Auto cad, Recap, Revet or similar into a 2D schematic drawing
giving 99.9% measurement accuracy. No more inaccurate measurements using a tape measure or
rough sketches on bits of paper on site, then having to transfer all this information into the design
back at the office.
