The Smell of Home Essay
What do you think of when you hear the word home? I think of comfort, love, and of coarse the sweet smell of warm apple pie. The first thing that
you notice when visiting someone's home for the first time is the smell. If the first thing you smell when you walk into someone's home fore the first
time is a dirty wet dog, the chances are you won't want to revisit that house. That's why the smell of your home is so important, not only for the
people who visit but also for the people who live there. Each room in my home has a different and wonderful smell. It ranges from the bedroom and
living room, where I like to relax, to the kitchen where all the cooking is done.
When I first walk in the door from work, the...show more content...
The sound of sizzling meat and steaming yellow rice pulls me in as if I were a dog being called by my master. From the caramelized honey brown
flan, to the crispy golden plantains, the sight and smells make my mouth water.
I open the door to our bedroom to get comfortable and unwind. As soon as I take my first step the smell of sweet vanilla dances over me. On each of
our night stands sits two beige candles whose shadows are dancing off the walls. The flame enchants me and the smell puts a calming feeling over
me. Before leaving the room I relax on my bed for a few minutes. I know my wife had been laying there because the pillows have a scent of her fresh,
herbal essence shampoo. Quickly, I get out of bed, put on my flannel pajamas, and return to the kitchen to help my wife complete our meal.
After dinner I like to relax in my living area. The smell of this part of the house is my favorite. There are two gigantic oak bookshelves. For some
reason, they smell like fresh cut trees right out of the forest. In the corner of the room is my rabbit, whose cage adds to the smell with fresh hay. A
small breeze blowing in from our balcony window adds to the calming atmosphere. Relaxing in this part of my house takes my mind far away from
real life and into a wild forest.

Sweet Home Chicago
The setting is immediately clarified in the first part of the lyrics, a drunken man in a bar. This perception of simplicity stands throughout the rest of
the song. Another repetition of a key sentence in the song, which we could also see in Sweet Home Chicago. In this context, the function is more or
less the same, it strengthens the immense feeling of longing, this time, it is extreme desire for alcohol. This idea is supported by the following
sentence, which is a cry for the bartender to provide the narrator with more of the bourbon, scotch and beer. Moving on forward, the text clarifies that
the reason for the narrator being in this bar whilst as drunk as the song implies, is because of a woman that left him two nights ago. After stating

Process Essay: Finding Home Security
Finding Home Security Companies
You know you want to protect your home with an security system, you are just not sure how. You know you need an alarm system and perhaps a
camera or two, but you have no idea how to go about getting what you need. Though there are some people who can install their own home systems,
most have to rely on home security companies for help and monitoring services. You can set your own alarm, but without someone to let you know it
is going off, you just have to hope it'll scare someone away. Luckily, having a watchful eye 24 hours a day is not as expensive as you may imagine.
As with anything else, the prices and services you can get from home security companies range from very inexpensive and simple to extremely
elaborate and expensive. The right company will give you what you need without overkill. If you live in a second story apartment in a safe
neighborhood, fifteen cameras is a bit much. However, if you live in a sprawling house in an area that has seen a rash of crime, a single alarm on the
front door may not be enough. Most companies know just what you need.
You can call and get quotes from many different home security companies to see what they have to offer. You want a company that will send someone
out to your property to see for themselves what you need. You can describe your issues over...show more content...
This is pretty much a service that ensures that a human responds when your alarm goes off. They normally call the house first to see if you have
accidentally set off the alarm. If not, they immediately call your alternate numbers and the fire, police, or any other service needed to respond to the
alarm that has sounded. You can find home security companies that offer fire and medical services as well as home security all in one package, which
is ideal for those with medical conditions that live alone, or spend a lot of time at home

Title Search, what's in a name?
A title search is a way to prove who is selling the property and if they really have the right to sell it. It's important for the buyer as it ensures and
confirms what is being bought and
HSH 5 sold. Performing the title search is a part of most real estate transactions. There are steps involved in a title search that examine the different
pieces needed to prove ownership and allow for the sale of property. Steps of researching and verifying chain of title, taxes, possession reports,
judgment, name searches and commitment are used to navigate the title search and verification. These steps are not involved in renting and therefor
can act as another motivation in favor of buying with a sense of security instead of gambling on the landlords/companies' word that the property is
theirs to offer.
When these searches have been completed, and the financial outcomes have been weighed the time to decide whether to rent or buy awaits.

What is Home? Essay
What is home? If one looks in a dictionary the answer would come out to be, "The place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a
family or household." However, for anyone who has had an actual home, they would know that such a term goes much beyond its concrete
description. It is an impassioned aspect filled with values and foundation of nurturing. A home is not just an abode built to live in; in fact, that is
just a definition of a house. Home is a place where one not only feels comfortable, but a place they look forward to opportunely live in every day. A
home is built not by bricks or wood, but with the bond of family. A home is a place that reminds aperson of countless memories and values when he

Family is what makes a house a home; this statement is undeniably precise. A person could have every material entity in the entire world, but it
would mean nothing if he does not have someone to share it with. In other words, home is also semantically related to sharing the happiness, grief,
and material things with one's family. A home gives people a place to care about the people that mean the most to them. It is a place to tell
amusing tales, a good story, or make memorable memories with one another. Furthermore, home is more than a place; it is a feeling. It is a feeling
of contentment and happiness that they share with the ones they love. Moreover, home is when one knows they are with people that can drive them
insane in a second, and the same people can make them happy in a second as well. Home means that no matter what one is going through, no matter
how challenging life gets, there will be someone looking out for them. One knows that a place is their home when they are comfortable enough to
present a true description of themselves, because they know that they will receive definitive acceptance. It is a sanctuary for them where they can do
anything they please and not be judged afterwards. It is where one can share the absurdity of their day without any remorse or repercussions. The
reason why people say that a person only has one true home is because one will

4. What new information do we learn about Sweet Home in this chapter, specifically about Denver's birth? In this chapter, we learn that Sethe was
already pregnant with Denver when she ran away from Sweet Home. By the time when Sethe collapsed her feet in the woods, a white girl Amy

gives us the information bit by little bit because she wanted to hid certain information for the middle of the book. Also, she might also wanted to attract

they are painted white, and I want mine to change a bit by painting with some neutral color such as beige or gray. This would still keep the same

Everyone dreams about buying his or her dream house; I lost my dream house, twice. When my girlfriend Izzy and I began house searching, it was
a whirlwind of excitement. This was our first hunt in the real estate market, and we were ready to close in on the perfect first house. Suddenly we
were staying up into the late hours of the night, cuddled in bed, endlessly searching for houses on Zillow. Throw pillows, dishes and pictures began to
jump off the shelves at us in every store we entered. We anxiously imagined every aspect of what we wanted in ourhouse. The rush of chasing down the
ideal house and making it our home was thrilling, yet short lived.
We were set on a modern ranch style dwelling, farmhouse style for her, and a large garage for me. One day ourreal estate agent called and exclaimed
she tracked down a house that met every bullet point on our checklist, and that we should meet her immediately to view it. The home had a large
southern–style front porch, new rustic bamboo wood floors, and all white cabinets. The open and light build was perfect for Izzy. Around the side of
the house was a two–car garage complete with a custom peg wall for tools and built–in shelving. Not much further around the house was the back yard,
large and completely fenced in. The storage and build was perfect for me. We knew this was our house; it had to be.
As we were standing in the center of the bare living room, our real estate agent's phone began to ring. We

If you live in a rental home or apartment, you are going to want to obtain renter's insurance that protects your belongings. Residents of Salt Lake

allows you to insure your personal belongings when you rent an apartment, condo, or house. You should take an accurate inventory of all of your
belongings and document their value. If you have receipts for your purchases they should be figured in and kept in a safe place in case you have a
claim. If you have major appliances, having documentation is especially important. Any jewelry, art, or luxury items should have an appraisal and
receipts so you can get the full value during the claims process. If you are a renter in Utah, you should be aware of the detail of the renter's insurance
policy such as the effective dates and the covered items listed in the policy as well as the location named on the policy. Most renter's insurance policies

Advantage And Disadvantage Of Renting
As one considers any large purchase, especially one that can alter the course they follow, it is important to consider the benefits and drawbacks of
all options and follow the steps that are required for a happy purchase to avoid the wastage of money and the dreaded purchaser's remorse. A home
is an investment that adds equity to a person. When choosing whether to rent or buy a home, there are several factors to consider to keep the buyer
and possible family working efficiently. Let's look at options that a renter/buyer has to consider as well as one of the factors of choosing to buy a
home. When you are just renting a home, you are just making payments but not owning more of the home at the end of the day. This is a big
disadvantage to most people. Another disadvantage of renting is that their are limitations to the lifestyle you can have and the customization that can

Perhaps you live in an area prone to disasters like tornados, earthquakes, or floods. There was once a family near me who took their home off of
the ground level foundation and stilted it in order to avoid being completely flooded again. There is also the risk of the home burning to the ground.
Though insurance helps to overcome these obstacles, it is another expense to worry about, not to mention there is usually a loss of equity when
those things happen. When you rent, you are not generally responsible for such events and accidents. With a home ownership, it's not as easy to pick
up and move, which can limit some lifestyle choices, especially career options. Homes require a lot of attention and upkeep and usually renovations
and updates, especially if the owner is hoping to sell in the future. It is also a big commitment and will take up years of liquidity. However, if the
home is well–maintained and lives in a good market area, it will be a great store of wealth for the

What I Call Home
In life everyone has their own dreams, whether it be about cars, houses, or their career. Most people I know dream to have the biggest and luxurious
houses but I was always satisfied with mine. My house is not a tiny apartment nor a huge mansion but a two story, plain brown brick cozy house with
white painted doors. The front yard is decorated with beautiful flowers; roses, lilies, violets, dahlias, daisies and much more, my mother usually plant
them. She says, "Flowers are a pleasure and perfection of nature, and they give many things to people, and it does not matter if you are rich or poor,

a cottage. There are four black leather couches and a wooden coffee table that sits in the middle. My mother usually makes tea or coffee for us. She'll
also bring out a bowl of sliced fruits, nuts and put it on the coffee table. After watching a movie or soap opera on satellite, everyone goes to their
room and gets ready for bed. In the mornings when I wake up, the first thing I tend to do is step outside to my backyard to get a nice fresh air. My
backyard is fairly big, also one of the main reasons why my parents decided to buy it. There's a little slide door in the dining room that leads to a
dark brown deck. You'll see a green patio table, chairs and a barbecue. Also, in the corner of my backyard you'll see a small portion of the yard
fenced. That's my mothers garden, where she grows tomatoes, peppers, onions, eggplants, parsley, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers and many others
that I can't recall. Both my dad and my mom love to grow organic vegetables and fruits. Around my backyard you'll also see a raspberry bush, pear,

Renting Vs Buying Home
When someone is deciding whether to purchase a home, there are a multitude of considerations involved. Purchasing a home is usually the largest
investment someone ever makes and they need to take into account the advantages and disadvantages between buying and renting. Some of the
renting and owning advantages and disadvantages that need to be considered are; The financial obligation. When you rent you commonly have a
one year lease, or less, so you are only financially obligated to pay the agreed upon rent for a year, after that you have the choice of signing another

Even though you may be building equity in your home, that money is tied up in your home for many years. When you rent, you aren't building any
equity at all. So you really have to think about what you want, and when you want it. When you're a home owner you have the luxury of changing
your surroundings. You can paint, remodel, and even add a room or deck. When you rent an apartment you are much more limited as to what you
can change. I once lived in an apartment where we had to have our Christmas wreath approved by the office before we could hang it on our door.
When you decide to buy a home the lender will require a title search. A title search confirms that there is no lien against theproperty that needs paid. If
someone is owes money for services, taxes etc. they can place a lien on the property. If there is a lien on the property the property cannot be sold or
transferred until the debt is paid. Finally, I'm glad we purchased our home. We can live the way we want. We can fire up the grill on the deck, and cook
a steak at midnight if we want to, we have a yard for our dog, and there is a sense of pride that comes from owning a

Compare And Contrast Essay About Buying A Home
Purchasing a Home
Buying a house for most is the American dream, but with today's economy many people are unsure if the dream can be obtained. The main concern
for most people would be the financial responsibility. Many people believe that the financial responsibility is overwhelming and they are just not
ready. Although some people believe they are not financially ready to purchase a home, buying a house is a better option than renting an apartment for
three main reasons. First, becoming a first time home buyer can be a very exciting experience that can have a positive long–term effect on some one's

In contrast, our beloved Internal Revenue Code allows you to write off some homeownership expenses as itemized deductions. You can generally
write off the interest on up to $1 million of mortgage debt used to acquire or improve your first residence (and a second residence if you have one).
You can also generally deduct the interest on up to $100,000 of home equity debt secured by your first (or second) residence. You can write offreal
estate property taxes on as many personal residences as you own.
If you've been claiming the standard deduction, buying a home may not generate all the extra write–offs you were expecting. That's because the
standard deduction is a freebie. You don't need any deductible expenses to claim it. For 2013, the standard deduction amounts are the following:
$12,200 for married joint–filing couples, $8,925 if you use head of household filing status, and $6,100 for singles. If your itemized write–offs for the
year add up to less than the standard deduction, you simply forgo itemizing and claim the standard deduction. Most individuals find themselves in the
standard deduction mode until they buy a home. Then they finally have enough itemized deductions (mainly due to mortgage interest and property
taxes) to exceed the standard deduction. However, only the incremental amount of itemized write–offs (excess of total itemized

I recall the incident like it was yesterday, the towering, sturdy, red brick home, beautified by the mesmerizing flower beds and glistening cobblestone, it

I strongly disagree and believe that if someone cannot consider their house a home, it has a lot to do with the attitudes of those living in it. I also
believe that a house is the place where most teenagers remain until, at least, the age of eighteen because of not being able to afford their own house.
On the other hand, they all belong to a home where, whether or not they admit it, they will always have a loving family to welcome them into their
hearts. Many of them tend to feel this way because as they grow older they begin to only think of themselves and become very self–centered or selfish.
These feelings of selfishness usually do not change until teenagers begin progressing into adulthood. If a teenager sees how their selfishness
negatively affects their family and they begin to change their ways, while still in their teenage years, this change is usually the cause of a bad event
that left them lonely and in the dark. This event could have been something along the lines of tough love from family members which caused this
person to look back on events they regretted from the past and helped them to look forward to changing these actions for a better future. Many of my
friends complain about not being happy at home and how much they just cannot wait to move out of the house. When I hear them complaining about

The Smell Of Home Essay

  • 1. The Smell of Home Essay What do you think of when you hear the word home? I think of comfort, love, and of coarse the sweet smell of warm apple pie. The first thing that you notice when visiting someone's home for the first time is the smell. If the first thing you smell when you walk into someone's home fore the first time is a dirty wet dog, the chances are you won't want to revisit that house. That's why the smell of your home is so important, not only for the people who visit but also for the people who live there. Each room in my home has a different and wonderful smell. It ranges from the bedroom and living room, where I like to relax, to the kitchen where all the cooking is done. When I first walk in the door from work, the...show more content... The sound of sizzling meat and steaming yellow rice pulls me in as if I were a dog being called by my master. From the caramelized honey brown flan, to the crispy golden plantains, the sight and smells make my mouth water. I open the door to our bedroom to get comfortable and unwind. As soon as I take my first step the smell of sweet vanilla dances over me. On each of our night stands sits two beige candles whose shadows are dancing off the walls. The flame enchants me and the smell puts a calming feeling over me. Before leaving the room I relax on my bed for a few minutes. I know my wife had been laying there because the pillows have a scent of her fresh, herbal essence shampoo. Quickly, I get out of bed, put on my flannel pajamas, and return to the kitchen to help my wife complete our meal. After dinner I like to relax in my living area. The smell of this part of the house is my favorite. There are two gigantic oak bookshelves. For some reason, they smell like fresh cut trees right out of the forest. In the corner of the room is my rabbit, whose cage adds to the smell with fresh hay. A small breeze blowing in from our balcony window adds to the calming atmosphere. Relaxing in this part of my house takes my mind far away from real life and into a wild forest. As you Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Sweet Home Chicago The setting is immediately clarified in the first part of the lyrics, a drunken man in a bar. This perception of simplicity stands throughout the rest of the song. Another repetition of a key sentence in the song, which we could also see in Sweet Home Chicago. In this context, the function is more or less the same, it strengthens the immense feeling of longing, this time, it is extreme desire for alcohol. This idea is supported by the following sentence, which is a cry for the bartender to provide the narrator with more of the bourbon, scotch and beer. Moving on forward, the text clarifies that the reason for the narrator being in this bar whilst as drunk as the song implies, is because of a woman that left him two nights ago. • 3. Process Essay: Finding Home Security Finding Home Security Companies You know you want to protect your home with an security system, you are just not sure how. You know you need an alarm system and perhaps a camera or two, but you have no idea how to go about getting what you need. Though there are some people who can install their own home systems, most have to rely on home security companies for help and monitoring services. You can set your own alarm, but without someone to let you know it is going off, you just have to hope it'll scare someone away. Luckily, having a watchful eye 24 hours a day is not as expensive as you may imagine. As with anything else, the prices and services you can get from home security companies range from very inexpensive and simple to extremely elaborate and expensive. The right company will give you what you need without overkill. If you live in a second story apartment in a safe neighborhood, fifteen cameras is a bit much. However, if you live in a sprawling house in an area that has seen a rash of crime, a single alarm on the front door may not be enough. Most companies know just what you need. You can call and get quotes from many different home security companies to see what they have to offer. You want a company that will send someone out to your property to see for themselves what you need. You can describe your issues over...show more content... If not, they immediately call your alternate numbers and the fire, police, or any other service needed to respond to the alarm that has sounded. Included is the role the title search plays in making a home purchase. HSH 3 Home Sweet Home Above all else in life, where we live and how we pay for it is the forefront need of survival. Hereditary windfall of lands and buildings are not common for everyone (at least here in America) and because of such one is faced with finding "home" on their own. It's important for the buyer as it ensures and confirms what is being bought and HSH 5 sold. Performing the title search is a part of most real estate transactions. There are steps involved in a title search that examine the different pieces needed to prove ownership and allow for the sale of property. Steps of researching and verifying chain of title, taxes, possession reports, judgment, name searches and commitment are used to navigate the title search and verification. These steps are not involved in renting and therefor can act as another motivation in favor of buying with a sense of security instead of gambling on the landlords/companies' word that the property is theirs to offer. When these searches have been completed, and the financial outcomes have been weighed the time to decide whether to rent or buy awaits. HSH 6 Works Cited Siegel, R., & Yacht, C. (December 2009). • 6. What is Home? Essay What is home? If one looks in a dictionary the answer would come out to be, "The place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household." However, for anyone who has had an actual home, they would know that such a term goes much beyond its concrete description. It is an impassioned aspect filled with values and foundation of nurturing. A home is not just an abode built to live in; in fact, that is just a definition of a house. Home is a place where one not only feels comfortable, but a place they look forward to opportunely live in every day. A home is built not by bricks or wood, but with the bond of family. A home is a place that reminds aperson of countless memories and values when he walks through a...show more content... Family is what makes a house a home; this statement is undeniably precise. A person could have every material entity in the entire world, but it would mean nothing if he does not have someone to share it with. In other words, home is also semantically related to sharing the happiness, grief, and material things with one's family. A home gives people a place to care about the people that mean the most to them. It is a place to tell amusing tales, a good story, or make memorable memories with one another. Furthermore, home is more than a place; it is a feeling. It is a feeling of contentment and happiness that they share with the ones they love. Moreover, home is when one knows they are with people that can drive them insane in a second, and the same people can make them happy in a second as well. Home means that no matter what one is going through, no matter how challenging life gets, there will be someone looking out for them. One knows that a place is their home when they are comfortable enough to present a true description of themselves, because they know that they will receive definitive acceptance. It is a sanctuary for them where they can do anything they please and not be judged afterwards. It is where one can share the absurdity of their day without any remorse or repercussions. • 8. Pregnancy and Sweet Home Essay 4. What new information do we learn about Sweet Home in this chapter, specifically about Denver's birth? In this chapter, we learn that Sethe was already pregnant with Denver when she ran away from Sweet Home. By the time when Sethe collapsed her feet in the woods, a white girl Amy Denver had found Sethe. Due to Sethe's fear about Sweet Home, she told Amy Denver a false name– "Lu", because if she were caught, she would be returned to Sweet Home, and she would continue experiencing her previous painful daily life again. Amy Denver helps Sethe by massaged her feet and release her pain. Later, Sethe gave birth to her baby successfully with Amy's help and Sethe also naming the child after Amy Denver. 5. Retell the night of Denver's birth,...show more content... We lucky this ghost is a baby."(5) In my opinion, I think Baby Sugg means that they are lucky that the ghost is a baby which would not be able to hurt the family in a huge and horrible way. Likewise, if the ghost is not a baby but an adult, then the ghost might easily kill them when it got mad. Thus, Baby Sugg thinks that there is no point of moving to another house because they baby has none of harmful impacts on them. 3.20–27.What do Paul D and Sethe remember about Sweet Home? Why do you think Morrison gives us the information bit by little bit? Both Paul D and Sethe's memories about Sweet Home are extremely grieved. For an example, Sethe's life as a slave in Sweet Home is painful. This quote demonstrates that Sethe's "chokecherry tree" scar on her back was resulted by the men who whipped her and tole her baby's milk when she was still a slave. I think Morrison gives us the information bit by little bit because she wanted to hid certain information for the middle of the book. Also, she might also wanted to attract readers mind by using this Strategy. Similarly, if an author gives the readers all the information at one time, then the readers might lose the interest to continue reading the book because the reader had already what will happen later Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 11. Descriptive Essay On Home Sweet Home Home Sweet Home Everyone dreams about buying his or her dream house; I lost my dream house, twice. When my girlfriend Izzy and I began house searching, it was a whirlwind of excitement. This was our first hunt in the real estate market, and we were ready to close in on the perfect first house. Suddenly we were staying up into the late hours of the night, cuddled in bed, endlessly searching for houses on Zillow. Throw pillows, dishes and pictures began to jump off the shelves at us in every store we entered. We anxiously imagined every aspect of what we wanted in ourhouse. The rush of chasing down the ideal house and making it our home was thrilling, yet short lived. We were set on a modern ranch style dwelling, farmhouse style for her, and a large garage for me. One day ourreal estate agent called and exclaimed she tracked down a house that met every bullet point on our checklist, and that we should meet her immediately to view it. The home had a large southern–style front porch, new rustic bamboo wood floors, and all white cabinets. The open and light build was perfect for Izzy. Around the side of the house was a two–car garage complete with a custom peg wall for tools and built–in shelving. Not much further around the house was the back yard, large and completely fenced in. The storage and build was perfect for me. We knew this was our house; it had to be. As we were standing in the center of the bare living room, our real estate agent's phone began to ring. Advantage And Disadvantage Of Renting As one considers any large purchase, especially one that can alter the course they follow, it is important to consider the benefits and drawbacks of all options and follow the steps that are required for a happy purchase to avoid the wastage of money and the dreaded purchaser's remorse. A home is an investment that adds equity to a person. When choosing whether to rent or buy a home, there are several factors to consider to keep the buyer and possible family working efficiently. Let's look at options that a renter/buyer has to consider as well as one of the factors of choosing to buy a home. When you are just renting a home, you are just making payments but not owning more of the home at the end of the day. This is a big disadvantage to most people. Perhaps you live in an area prone to disasters like tornados, earthquakes, or floods. There was once a family near me who took their home off of the ground level foundation and stilted it in order to avoid being completely flooded again. There is also the risk of the home burning to the ground. Though insurance helps to overcome these obstacles, it is another expense to worry about, not to mention there is usually a loss of equity when those things happen. When you rent, you are not generally responsible for such events and accidents. With a home ownership, it's not as easy to pick up and move, which can limit some lifestyle choices, especially career options. • 14. My Dream House Essay What I Call Home In life everyone has their own dreams, whether it be about cars, houses, or their career. Most people I know dream to have the biggest and luxurious houses but I was always satisfied with mine. My house is not a tiny apartment nor a huge mansion but a two story, plain brown brick cozy house with white painted doors. The front yard is decorated with beautiful flowers; roses, lilies, violets, dahlias, daisies and much more, my mother usually plant them. She says, "Flowers are a pleasure and perfection of nature, and they give many things to people, and it does not matter if you are rich or poor, they give you a wonderful world which makes you feel happy". It definitely makes her and our neighbors happy. She shares the...show more content... After dinner, majority of the time everyone goes out or straight to their rooms but occasionally we'll sit in the living room and watch television together. My living room is probably the coziest place in my house. The walls are partially decorated with pieces of wood. It resembles the interior of a cottage. There are four black leather couches and a wooden coffee table that sits in the middle. My mother usually makes tea or coffee for us. She'll also bring out a bowl of sliced fruits, nuts and put it on the coffee table. After watching a movie or soap opera on satellite, everyone goes to their room and gets ready for bed. In the mornings when I wake up, the first thing I tend to do is step outside to my backyard to get a nice fresh air. My backyard is fairly big, also one of the main reasons why my parents decided to buy it. There's a little slide door in the dining room that leads to a dark brown deck. You'll see a green patio table, chairs and a barbecue. Also, in the corner of my backyard you'll see a small portion of the yard fenced. That's my mothers garden, where she grows tomatoes, peppers, onions, eggplants, parsley, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers and many others that I can't recall. Both my dad and my mom love to grow organic vegetables and fruits. Around my backyard you'll also see a raspberry bush, pear, peach, cherry, apricot, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

When you rent an apartment you are much more limited as to what you can change. I once lived in an apartment where we had to have our Christmas wreath approved by the office before we could hang it on our door. If someone is owes money for services, taxes etc. they can place a lien on the property. If there is a lien on the property the property cannot be sold or transferred until the debt is paid. In contrast, our beloved Internal Revenue Code allows you to write off some homeownership expenses as itemized deductions. You can generally write off the interest on up to $1 million of mortgage debt used to acquire or improve your first residence (and a second residence if you have one). You can also generally deduct the interest on up to $100,000 of home equity debt secured by your first (or second) residence. You can write offreal estate property taxes on as many personal residences as you own. If you've been claiming the standard deduction, buying a home may not generate all the extra write–offs you were expecting. That's because the standard deduction is a freebie. You don't need any deductible expenses to claim it. For 2013, the standard deduction amounts are the following: $12,200 for married joint–filing couples, $8,925 if you use head of household filing status, and $6,100 for singles. If your itemized write–offs for the year add up to less than the standard deduction, you simply forgo itemizing and claim the standard deduction. • 18. Descriptive Essay : Home Sweet Home I recall the incident like it was yesterday, the towering, sturdy, red brick home, beautified by the mesmerizing flower beds and glistening cobblestone, it was simply breathtaking. Nothing could match the magnitude of my one–acre backyard and playroom, which witnessed much of my childhood, apart from my parents. Not only was the house spectacular, but also the area, which we resided, contained the most interesting and charitable people I had ever encountered. Beeton, a place full of life and exhilaration, one I will never dismiss from my mind; home sweet home. On my street, it was marvellous that my best friends lived mere houses away from me. I spent my entire childhood, creating the fondest memories with extraordinary people. Growing on that very foundation with such an astonishing community, strengthened the bond I shared with the four walls that guarded me as I experienced life. Until one day, that euphoria disappeared in seconds. It was a pleasant summer day in June; I had just perfected the game of hopscotch with my good companion Angela. As I raced inside, past the thick stack of papers marked confidential, I notice my parents waiting patiently for my presence in the kitchen. "Josephine, your father and I have decided to buy a house in Woodbridge, we must be out of the residence before the two week deadline is up, you will be staying at your grandmother's house while we transition into our new neighbourhood, we will not have any debate on this arrangement," my Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I wanted my kids to know where we came from, to meet my family, and to know their culture. Unfortunately, there comes a time when you realize that you have to carry your country in your heart and look for another safe "home sweet home." We finally arrived after a long, 13–hour flight. After 6 years of being in the United States, we were finally home. I couldn't find words to describe how I felt when we reached Beirut. The next day, we decided, my brother and I, to take the kids for a ride and we promised them that, "Today, we will taste a different kind of ice cream." I was enjoying the drive and, in my...show more content... I was paralyzed and I didn't know what to do. I couldn't remember what my dad had taught us years ago, in the Civil War, when we used to look for a safe place to hide. The Lebanese Civil War lasted from 1975 until 1991. I can summarize my childhood memories as migrating from place to place to escape these sounds. So many questions were crossing my mind. Did I make the right decision bringing the kids here? Am I putting their lives in danger? How am I going to explain this situation to the kids? I didn't want my kids to experience danger or fear. All that I wanted in that moment was that the kids don't get hurt from any arbitrary bullet. I can write a book with all the stories of innocent children and adults, who lost their lives because arbitrary bullets. "May he rest in peace, he was a good guy." That's the sentence we hear after every accident. Lives taken and broken hearts, that's what the weapons leave behind. The gunshots stopped and we finally succeeded to find a safe spot, 15 minutes later. Should I say that I was scared, even terrified? I didn't want my kids to experience this situation. That night, while I was watching the news, I learned that the shooting incident was because of a car accident. According to reports, a 24 year old man slightly hit another vehicle. I strongly disagree and believe that if someone cannot consider their house a home, it has a lot to do with the attitudes of those living in it. I also believe that a house is the place where most teenagers remain until, at least, the age of eighteen because of not being able to afford their own house. On the other hand, they all belong to a home where, whether or not they admit it, they will always have a loving family to welcome them into their hearts. Many of them tend to feel this way because as they grow older they begin to only think of themselves and become very self–centered or selfish. These feelings of selfishness usually do not change until teenagers begin progressing into adulthood. If a teenager sees how their selfishness negatively affects their family and they begin to change their ways, while still in their teenage years, this change is usually the cause of a bad event that left them lonely and in the dark. This event could have been something along the lines of tough love from family members which caused this person to look back on events they regretted from the past and helped them to look forward to changing these actions for a better future. Many of my friends complain about not being happy at home and how much they just cannot wait to move out of the house. When I hear them complaining about this, the first thing that comes to my mind is, ìHow do you expect yourself to experience the true feeling of a home if you never make the best Get more content on HelpWriting.net
