responsible for the internal administration of
Oudh during the greater part of Nawab Vizier
Asafud-Daulahâs reign. Appointed about August
1776 to assist the illiterate Chief Minister Hasan
Raza Khan, Haider Beg became the de facto
minister by 1779 on account of his superior
ability.
