digital TV, broadband and video-on-demand platforms since 2006.

So, when WorldCall sought to upgrade its cable broadband
offering in Pakistan, they chose to invest in the best technology

End-to-end network monitoring and management ensured the live
condition analysis of every component in the headend and each of the
network elements in the field. This enabled WorldCall NoC teams to
rectify network anomalies before they result in potential network failures.
C-COR used its global industry connections to source unique
combinations of hardware and software for each of the five Pakistan sites.

3. The engineering designs catered for near-term requirements and projected
customer demands making it a relevant solution even for today.
The designs for each IP-centric headend were compliant with DVB-C QAM
and ready for DVB-T OFDM and DVB-S QPSK industry standards.
All these aspects of the engineered IP optical and RF-centric headend
solution were pre-assembled and rigorously tested for assurance in
C-Cor’s Melbourne facility before delivery and integration at each
WorldCall digital headend operation centre.

C-COR was a known credible resource for WorldCall. From the first
executive meetings in 2009, it was in 2010 that C-COR was invited to
deploy a DOCSIS 2.0 CMTS and then to upgrade the network capability
to DOCSIS 3.0 in 2012.
WorldCall was highly satisfied with C-COR’s tailored, highly agile
engineering designs for the digital headend infrastructure and their
flexible commercial approach.
On-site supervision by an Australian project director was a significant
point of difference to alternate approaches to project management
and commissioning across the five sites.
