Sightseeing - Tip SSB Museum : former rack railway locomotives and railcars, as well as many other
historic tramway of the „Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG“ can be seen in the SSB Museum in Bad
Cannstatt. The museum is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and can be reached by taking the
U1, U2 or U11 trams to the Mercedesstraße stop. On Sundays there are vintage car rides with line 23 up
to the TV tower.

Sightseeing - Tip funicular railway: every day between 9:10 am and 5:50 pm, these original funicular
railway still run every 20 minutes from Stuttgart Südheim up to the Waldfriedhof cemetery. It is best to
take the U1, U9 or U34 to the Südheimer Platz stop and walk a few minutes to the cable car station
(signposted). Can also be experienced at the Blaustrümpflerweg hiking tour.

Sightseeing - Tip the Hotel Silber: It is now a memorial with a permanent exhibition about the
political persecution by the police from 1928 onwards. The Hotel Silber is located on Holzstraße, directly
on the Charlottenplatz. From Marienplatz, take the U1, U9 to Charlottenplatz (nearby, the Old Castle and
the Collegiate Church).

Sightseeing – Tip TV Tower: The Stuttgart TV Tower can be visited. The view from the visitor terraces
at a height of 150 metres cannot be compared with anything else in the area. To by tram U7, U15 to the
Ruhbank stop.

Sightseeing – Tip Bärenschlössle: To get to the Bärenschlössle, take bus 43 from Marienplatz,
change at the Feuersee stop and take the 92 bus to the Forsthaus II stop. Walk or hike in the forest and
along the lakes. Further sights are the red deer and wild boar park.

Sightseeing – Tip Blaustrümpflerweg: The hiking trail was signposted by the Schwäbischer Albverein
Heslach to promote hiking in the vicinity of the city. It is an almost 8 km long circular trail, which not
only offers great views of Stuttgart South and West, but also the two historic railway lines already
mentioned, the rack railway and the funicular railway.

2. Sightseeing tip Old Castle and Collegiate Church: Both are located at the Schillerplatz and were
originally part of the later stud farm buildings. To visit with many other historical buildings in the city
centre at Schlossplatz. The Old Palace now houses the today the Württemberg State Museum. From
Marienplatz, take the U1 or U9 to Charlottenplatz (nearby, the Hotel Silber).

Sightseeing - Tip Bauhaus: If you want to learn more about Bauhaus architecture, the
Weissenhofsiedlung on Killesberg is highly recommended. This estate was built as a building exhibition
in 1929 and today shows the history on guided tours and in the Le Corbusier House, the Weissenhof
Museum. Some of the buildings have been UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 2016 and European
Cultural Heritage Sites since 2020. Take the U5 to the Killesberg stop.

Sightseeing - Tip the Mercedes Benz Museum: Located right next to the Daimler headquarters in
Untertürkheim offers young and old lots of exciting information about Stuttgart's automotive history and,
of course, about the inventor of the automobile, Gottlieb Daimler. (also nearby, the Stuttgart Tramway

Sightseeing - Tip the Wine Museum: Located in Stuttgart Uhlbach. The "Alte Kelter” has been offering
an overview of winegrowing culture from Roman times to the present day since 1979. The half-timbered
and roof architecture of the museum creates an extraordinary atmosphere.
