On April 4, 2017 OVH announced the intent to acquire the
VMware vCloud Air business, including:
• Customer operations
• U.S. and European data centers
• Sales, operations, and customer support/success
teams
May 2017, The acquisition was finalized and vCloud Air
resources started to move to OVH.
October 2017, The first OVH US datacenter will open with an
initial vCloud Air service, alongside Dedicated Server and
Openstack-based Public Cloud Services. Global expansion
of the service will continue from there.
