ETYMOLOGY
It was taken from two Latin words “Per” and “Son” which means “to sound through “.
Later, the two words were coined to “Persona” meaning “an actor’s mask through which
the sound of his voice was projected. Traditionally, in Greek plays, the actors wore
mask while performing to portray his character.
DEFINITION
It is a sum total of all physical, psychological and emotional attitudes, values,
interests and motivational factors.

Self-awareness (sometimes also referred to as self-knowledge or
introspection) is about understanding your own needs, desires, failings,

Four major components of attitude
Affective: emotions or feelings.

Conative: inclination for action.
