Single camera productions involve filming scenes one at a time using a single camera, which is then moved and reset for the next shot. Continuity managers ensure shots filmed next match actions and themes from previous shots. Examples of successful single camera productions include the horror film Halloween, which uses a first-person point of view, and the comedy Modern Family, which films conversations smoothly despite using a single camera. Single camera productions have lower costs but require attention to continuity to avoid errors between shots. While challenging, they allow for more maneuverability in tight spaces and less footage to edit.
This slideshow is about the topic editing used in media. I have created slides with information and images representing editing and what editing is. Please open the slideshow to see the information and facts I have research and found out about on editing.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Single camera production 2
1. Sonia Filipa Soares Eusebio
Unit- 2, 3 & 22
Single camera production:
A single camera production uses a single camera for the different scenes that need filming for the
production. One camera is used throughout after one individual scene is shot they move the camera and
reset it in another position to get the next shot or angle. This continues filming with multiple continuity
managers present to make sure the shots filmed next correspond with actions and themes from previous
shots. However single cameras areonly used for media productions such as commercials and music
videos its rarely used for movies as it has proven to be quite the task to film with only one camera
however it can be done.
An Example of a single camera production is Halloween as it uses a
continuous hand held form of a shot which is used to symbolise the Point of
view of the killer and it leaves the audience in the Point of view of the killer
as he kills someone which we honestly don’t want to be in but it adds to the
pure horror of the slashing more so when the camera changes out of the
killers point of view to show the audience the killer was merely a young boy.
Another example of a single camera production is Modern Family which
is one of the few comedies on television that use single camera
production and succeeds, due to its dialogue, narrations, and great
timing. It's filmed like a movie, with smooth transitions between clips,
making conversations flow perfectly despite being shot with a single
camera.
Single camera productions cost less and aretherefore appealing to directors and producers filming on a
low budget but this also means they have to pay special attention to make sure they keep to continuity
because the errors made while using single camera productions are common and can vary from the
change in lighting in a scene to the discontinuation of a motion in the next. We would have to re-film
scenes and waste time we need to carry on working on this but it’s necessary to re-film to make sure any
mistakes are avoided this is another disadvantage of the single camera production.
Single camera productions are easy to set up and can be used in situations where room limitations are in
place this makes it easier to manoeuvre around the place it’s great to use because that means there is
less footage to look through, upload and edit it also tests your skills from director to ordinary crew
member as this method is rarely used anymore and if we are able to pull it off would be a great
achievement and prove we arequite skilled in our work though it would be quite the challenge to work
on.
In the end as a group we will have achieved a lot by being able to adjust to the limitaions on sets and on
equipment we must be careful with the continuity errors e.g: light changes , match on action errors etc.
however overall I find this wil be easier to maneuver and all in all become a test of skill for us as aspiring
media groups.
