5. DARTOS
The dartos fascia or simply dartos is a layer of connective tissue
found in the penis and scrotum.
The penile portion is referred to as the superficial fascia of penis,
While the scrotal part is the dartos proper.
It is also continuous with Colles fascia of the perineum and
Scarpa's fascia of the abdomen

7. Deep to dartos lies the Buck's fascia in the penile shaft ,
external spermatic fascia in the scrotum.
In the scrotum, it consists mostly of smooth muscle.
In females, the same muscle fibers are less well developed
and termed dartos muliebris, lying beneath the skin of the
labia majora.
8. Bucks fascia
Buck's fascia (deep fascia of the penis, Gallaudet's fascia or
fascia of the penis)- covering the three erectile bodies of
the penis.
On the dorsal aspect splits to enclose the dorsal neuro
vascular bundle of penis and on its ventral aspect, it splits to
envelop corpus spongiosum in a separate compartment.
Buck's fascia is continuous with the external spermatic fascia
in the scrotum and the suspensory ligament of the penis.

11. TUNICA ALBUGENIA
The tunica albuginea is the fibrous envelope that extends the length of the corpora cavernosa
penis (containing erectile tissue) and corpus spongiosum penis
It is a bi-layered - outer longitudinal layer and an inner circular layer.
This arrangement of the tunica albuginea is directly involved in maintaining an erection.
12. COLLES fascia
Superficial perineal fascia - areolar dartos fascia, or Colles'
fascia
A deeper layer of this fascia serves to separate the scrotal
contents from the superficial perineal pouch.
Posteriorly Colles' fascia attaches to the perineal body.
Anteriorly, Colles' fascia fuses with both Scarpa's fascia and
Camper's fascia of the abdominal wall.

15. APPLIED ANATOMY
In cases of blunt perineal trauma or penile fracture in which
Buck's fascia remains intact, extravasated blood or urine is
confined to the penile shaft.
Commonly described eggplant deformity.
Traumatic disruption of Buck's fascia, however, leads to a
different pattern because Colles' fascia will contain
extravasations in the superficial perineal pouch, which
manifests as a perineal hematoma in a butterfly
distribution
Finally, disruption of Colles' fascia allows for spread of
hematoma, urine, or even infection to the abdominal wall
and scrotum
