Editor's Notes
This is just the cover of our sustainable restoration planning document that was developed with the help of our center, a group of sustainability, energy efficient experts from the La DNR, 3 architects and desginers/other experts named Bob Berkebile, Bill Browning, Bill Becker whom we affectionately refer to as the B-Team. And, all the entities and individuals are still working with our community. I sould also point out that our community wishes to become a passively survivable community able to withstand as much as possible or major storm events and if we’re off the grid in terms of electricity, we’ll have technologies and capabilities to support ourselves during the state of emergency. And, our CBR continues to serve as the main convening node of recovery of this HC/L9 which essentially grew out this early planning process.
Reorientation of where things are located
The germination of bald cypress seeds was shown to be inversely related to the concentration of saltwater solution used to saturate soils. Saltwater intrusion is responsible for the destruction of large expanses of baldcypress swamps along the Gulf of Mexico in the southern United States. Salinity effects and differential germination of several half-sib families of baldcypress from different seed sources KEN W. KRAUSS1, JIM L. CHAMBERS1 and JAMES A. ALLEN
