About the hea and ukpsf - its application to staff supporting research students

The formal recognition of staff adhering to the principles of the United Kingdom UK Professional Standards Framework (UK PSF) Different categories of Fellowship according to length of experience in HE AND also role in leading change in others in HE within your subject area, College, within the institution or nationally
  • 3. Fellowship substantially enhances a promotion application The application process and the reflection it requires will provide personal benefits to you as a teacher/supporting student learning Fellowship is embedded within the University’s strategic goals of “Research Led Learning and Inspiring Teaching”
  • 4. Fellowship growth at Swansea 8% - 2015 (98 Fellows) Approx 30% - 2016 (current) 50% - 2017 80% - 2020 Starting from a low base to achieve ambitious strategic goals Increase from experienced staff & PGCert completers

  2. There is however a minimum – 3 years on HE. When I refer to ‘Fellowship’ its generic and not specifically meaning the category of Fellow.

Each of these dimensions has a number of sub-elements – 5 Areas of Activity, 6 Core knowledge and 4 Professional values Why is the UK PSF so Important? Foundational principles for you as a teacher in HE You need to demonstrate reflection and evidence against the UK PSF to apply for HEA Fellowship
  4. Mention the Supporting of research students Supporting student learning Indicative Activities
  5. The UK PSF underpins each of these categories. Additionally, there are specific features of each category which I’ll outline further. The extent to which they have to meet the UKPSF slightly varies.
  6. There are 2 routes available for ANY of the categories
  7. There are 4 application deadlines. No extensions. Applications can be moved between deadlines.
  8. You’ll also get a follow-up email with links to example of Pebble+ application etc.
