1. Redefining Inequity
Intersectionality: is a concept often used in critical theories to
describe the ways in which oppressive institutions (racism,
sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, xenophobia,
classism, etc.) are interconnected and cannot be examined
separately from one another. The concept first came from
legal scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw in 1989 and is largely used in
critical theories when discussing systematic oppression.

different specialties, 315 of which are in specialties of

21. ▪ 974 patients received eye care in 2,089 visits
▪ 203 patients were fitted with low-cost eyeglasses.
▪ 75 patients received surgeries to remediate cataract, glaucoma, and
pterygium, Retinal Detachment, Laser.
▪ 103 patients received injection treatment to treat several eye and retina
diseases, like age-related macular degeneration.
