My main focus of my school and the way I trade is called Price Action Trading. If you are not familiar with price action trading I will give you an
overview now. Price action is a form of technical analysis, but one of the key unique pieces is that it’s based on real time movements in price
and not lagging indicators of fundamental news and information.
The way I trade and the system I teach are not an automated. I don’t believe in robots or black boxes. If you do a little research on automated
trading system you will find that the true meaning is a software program to enter and exit trades at a specific point. At no point is there a
promise that these automated systems show you the entry and exit points. They are just saving you the effort of pressing the button
Over the years many not so legitimate companies have sprung up on the internet selling something based on these ideas only that they promise
you will make money automatically. Doesn’t this sound great. All you have to do is go out and buy something then plug it into your computer
and go play golf and watch tv and when you come back there will be money pouring into your brokerage account.
The automation might be based around a set of indicators with a target and stop in mind. The problem is there are no accommodations for
changes in trading environment, details regarding events or any other organic market changes on a day to day basis. Basically this is just like a
car on cruise control. Maybe on the open highway with minimal traffic it will work some of the time, but you certainly would not want to drive it
through the mall parking lot.
