What is Adobe InDesign Server?
Adobe InDesign Server is the exact
same application as desktop InDesign, but
controlled by code instead of a UI.
It uses templates built in desktop Adobe
InDesign. It lives and breathes InDesign
and Adobe graphics formats.
It can save out INDD files, or any format
that InDesign can emit (JPG, PNG, PDF,
etc.).
It is automated with the same technologies
(scripts, plugins) that automate desktop
InDesign itself.
