4. Seine at Honfleur 1865
Monet painted this painting at the age of 25. He also began to paint large scale works,
like Le dejeuner sur L’herbe and Women in Garden.

As railways allowed easier access to beaches, Monet started to paint beach scenes. Monet married
Camille in 1870 just before the Franco-Prussian War.
