Tedlar® was used in three different ways – interior metal
panels, wallcoverings, and wardrobe finishes:
• Interior walls made of metal were laminated with
Tedlar® to provide long-lasting protection.
• Tedlar® was thermo-formed to the doors of closets,
cabinets, and wardrobes in patient rooms.
• Tedlar® was laminated to a wallcovering patterned with
wood, textured grass cloth, and other prints.
• Completed in 2022, the expanded Guangzhou Women and
Children's Medical Center includes approximately 1000
patient beds and covers a total building area of 220,000
square meters.
• Tedlar® was chosen for its excellent durability and
cleanability and was laminated to a range of materials to
create a long-lasting, clean, safe, and beautiful
environment.
“We chose Tedlar® for this project because of its long history
of durable protection in extreme environments, specifically
healthcare settings,” said Project Designer of Guangzhou
Urbanization Design Institute.
