What is a Mindset? A mindset is a pattern of thinking or behavior of one or more individuals or groups of individuals. An individual acquires a mindset through interaction with the social, economic, and cultural environment. As a learned behavior, it exerts strong motivation (or demotivation) within an individual or group of individuals to carry on or adopt new attitudes and behaviors. There are two kinds of people (growth versus fixed) that distinguished then according to their attitudes towards failure.

In a fixed mindset, people believe their basic qualities, like their
intelligence or talent, are simply fixed traits.
They spend their time documenting their intelligence or talent
instead of developing them.
They also believe that talent alone creates success – without effort.
Their goals ends up becoming about looking smart all the time and
to never appear incompetent.

5. What is a Growth Mindset?
In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities
can be developed and grow through dedication and hard work –
brains and talent are just the starting point.
This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential
for great accomplishment. Virtually all great people have had these
qualities.
Teaching a growth mindset creates motivation and productivity in
the world of business, education, and sports.
It enhances relationships and can help promote a healthy lifestyle.
