FINDINGS
School-community partnership with shared responsibility,
reporting updates, manpower support and provision of
learning resources are vital to effectively implement
distance learning. On the other hand, health-Related
issues, lack of motivation, inadequate academic support,
shifting roles of barangay officials, delayed feedback were
the difficulties encountered during the conduct of distance
learning. Based on the findings of the study, a Thematic
Model was crafted by the researcher to help strengthen
school-community partnership to effectively implement
distance learning.
CONCLUSIONS
1. Shared responsibility requires school and
community to work collaboratively in the
conduct of distance learning.
2. Constant communication on school-related
matters and student performance provides an
opportunity to establish an effective working
relationship with the parents and barangay
officials.
CONCLUSIONS
3. Community support helps in gathering human
resources and learning materials to better meet the
needs of learners during distance learning.
4. The Thematic Model can help the School-
Community partnership in achieving an engaging
teaching-learning process in distance learning.
1. The Thematic Model on Creating a Community of
Learning Partners in School in Distance Learning should be
considered as a basis for effective implementation of Distance
Learning.
2. Schools should sustain and strengthen the partnership
with communities and other stakeholders that will manage the
delivery of modular learning more effectively.
3. Given challenges such as health-related issues and
shifting roles of barangay officials, schools should provide a free
access of modules online as an alternative resource.

RECOMMENDATIONS
4. School administrators and community leaders must be provided with
opportunities like webinars and training programs to develop strategies in
improving school and community involvement in the implementation of distance
learning.
5. The teachers and community members must continue to conduct virtual
meetings regularly as part of continuous improvement.
6. The teachers should continue using a good communication tool that helps
in engaging parents and other community members to take a more active role in
learner’s progress.
7. The schedule of distribution of modules and retrieval of answer sheets
should ensure the safety of both teachers and community members.
RECOMMENDATIONS
8. The teachers should continue motivate communities in order to sustain a
more productive workforce.
9. The learners should maintain participation in synchronous and
asynchronous activities, following the schedule given by the teacher to
accommodate all queries and concerns of learners and their parents.
10. School and communities should make plans and organize their time to
take into account the learning of new online platforms, as well as the difficulties
that may arise in the new modalities to establish a consistent communication.
11. School should continue partnering with the communities through their
guidance and support to learners’ studies for a successful distance learning.
