just a degree. We’re encouraged
to dive into our educational
experience, engage in campus
life, develop lasting friendships,
and have unique experiences in
all areas of our studies.”

FIRST-YEAR EXPERIENCE
First-Year Experience (FYE) is
a unique learning experience to
help you transition to university
life by connecting you with
other students, peer mentors,
and engaging faculty. FYE
learning communities consist of
courses with a common theme.

“Through the generosity
of alumni scholarships,
Minot State University
has helped to ensure
success in my education
and has allowed me to

AND EAGER TO

ENTHUSIASM
WITH STUDENTS.
“All faculty members in the department
of biology involve undergraduates in
research. This hands-on involvement is
not usually something undergrads can
experience at a larger university, and it
really gives our students an advantage
when they apply to professional schools.”
8
“I was drawn to Minot State
University because of the
uniqueness of its programs,
the strong connection
between the university
and the community, and
its commitment to student
success. As students and
faculty work together in
the pursuit of excellence
they forge bonds and build
relationships that will last a
lifetime.”
Dr. Mark McQuade

“Students enjoy my
interactive inquiry-based
learning approach. I like to
provide practical learning
opportunities and expose
students to key business
professionals, assisting
them to connect theory
and practice by learning
strategies employed in
real-world scenarios.”
Dr. Tracey Mays

“Students are at the
heart of what we do.
Our classes are small
and our professors are
here to help you learn, so
when you come to class,
be ready to think and
interact.”
Dr. Kathy Hintz
Elementary Education
Minot State students thrive through our small class sizes, dynamic learning environment
and the ability to work closely with quality professors. They are prepared to showcase
their research and are equipped with the tools needed to succeed in their field.
