want to work for.
• You should have a minimum of
twenty target companies

• Rather than have all your connections
looking to see if they have a connection at
a target company you should do your due
diligence .
• View the company employees and see who
you would report to or who you would
work with.

• Don’t make your connections do the heavy
lifting, you do your homework
• Make it easy for your connections by
having names and titles at the company in
a list
• Ask your connections: I see you are
connected to the HR manager at ABC co.

• Would you be able to introduce me to the
HR manager or hiring manager?
• If the connection is not a strong one give
your connection an out by asking if they do
have a personal connection to the person
• If not, then thank them in advance and
move on to the next request.

• This is the reason you need a large network. It
used to be 501 connections now it should be
1000 connections
• All 4 of these profiles I have a second-degree
connection
• These second-degree connections can be used
as a referral to the person at Lenovo
