This document provides an overview of an agricultural information system project. It includes an abstract, introduction, and descriptions of the login page, objectives, features, and test cases. The system allows farmers to access information about crops, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and more. It was created using Java for the front-end and SQL Server for the back-end database. Farmers can login to view and contribute data to help each other identify problems, diagnose pests and diseases, and improve crop yields. 3. ABSTRACT
The agricultural information system provides its users and researches to get
online information about, the crop, statistical details and new tendencies. The
trends of the crops act so that these will be pretty important to the users who
access these via the Internet. In addition this provides individual information
about Intercrops related to main crops.
Java was used to create the front end for the system and SQL Server was used
for the back end. The graphical user interface of the front-end use Java
Applets, ASP Interfaces and access the back-end SQL Server Database using
embedded SQL Queries for the retrieval and update. The front end and back-
end is connected using a SQL Server
4. INTRODUCTION
This project contains the information about fertilizers,
pesticides and seeds which can access by a user.
Indian farmers rely on each other for guidance on the type of
seeds to use, diagnosis of pests & diseases as well as their
remedies. Timely assessment of problems on the field can
improve yields & therefore incomes for the smallest of farmers.
5. In the ideal situation farmers will be able to login
to see information that other farmers have
inputted.
The user should register first by providing
his/her personal information like name, mail id /
phone number. Next the user gets the information
like temperature (it means that in which season
the crop is suitable), crops, Agri brands,
Nutrition etc.

A fertilizer is any material of natural or synthetic
origin that is applied to soils or to plant tissues to
supply one or more plant nutrients essential to the
growth of plants.
Pesticides are substances that are meant to control
pests, including weeds.
A seed is an embryonic plant enclosed in a
protective outer covering.
