Strengths
Vodafone has more than 53 million
customers (Aug 2013). It is the 2nd largest
cellular provider in India.
The company has covered the entire Indian
nation with its network.
Opportunities
Vodafone Essar is embarking on another
joint venture with Bharti Airtel and Idea
Cellular to create a new independent tower
company called Indus Towers.
Vodafone launched the Apple iPhone 3G to
be used on its 17 circle 2G network.
Weaknesses
Until recently Vodafone did not own its
own towers, which was a particular strength
of some of its competitors such as Airtel.
Towers are important if your company
wishes to provide wide coverage nationally.
Threats
Its new in the market and have lots of
competitors.
