Pictured on the next slide is the home jersey for the Championship club
Reading for the 2022-23 season.
What might be the significance of the historically unusual pattern on the
sleeves?

Semantle, a Wordle spinoff, will tell you how semantically similar it thinks
your word is to the secret word. Pimantle is a version of Semantle, but
with a point-cloud visualisation of guesses. Along with a blue to red color
gradation corresponding to your guesses, the game also offers a “Frigid”
to “🔥🔥” word prompt.
What is the prompt further offered when you actually guess the word at
the center, a greeting used in the world of a 2005 anime-inspired

Everything Everywhere All at Once, starring Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy
Quan, is one of the best works of film of this year, and possibly of recent
times. As the movie broadly deals with multiversal ‘jumping’, the directors
wanted to use stylistic elements to help differentiate the multiverses
covered.
In the clip from the film on the next slide, the directors pay homage to an
auteur by using elements from their film language to define the
cinematography of a certain universe. ID the auteur.
19. Q4.
In computing, there exist broadly two ways of storing multibit data-types
(integers, floats, etc). These methods differ only in their approach to dealing
with the order of storing bits: one stores the most significant byte at the
smallest memory address while the other stores it at the largest.
The technical names for these types are drawn from an 18th century work of
prose, where a similar difference of operation acts as satire on the religiously
fuelled wars of the day.
What are these two types called, and which work of prose are they drawn
from?
22. Q5.
The image that follows is the conclusion from a write-up titled “ON HOLY
WARS AND A PLEA FOR PEACE” by computer scientist Danny Cohen, wherein
he elucidates the big and little endian problem, and aims to get people to
choose his side of the debate.
I have blanked out a word X from the image.
What could X be, created to reduce the time taken due to compatibility issues
of a different kind.
26. Q6.
The line “... and never the twain shall meet.” from the previous question is a
reference to the poem ‘The Ballad of East and West’ by Rudyard Kipling.
Kipling was also quite interestingly a part of an amateur cricket team with the
likes of Arthur Conan Doyle, HG Wells, AA Milne, PG Wodehouse and others. The
team was founded and captained by Sir James Barrie, the author of Peter
Pan.
What was the name of this team of literary superstars, a play on a phrase
praising God, and the name of its founder?

X, often cited as one of the greatest rock bands in history, had a disastrous
reunion in 1985 at the historic Live Aid concert.
The troubles included the lead guitarist's ongoing drug abuse problem and,
more famously, bringing in Y as a drummer for the performance.
Y's name also features in one of Eminem's most famous tracks, 'Stan', with
specific reference to arguably Y's most famous song.
Identify X and Y
50. Q8.
Pictured here is an Italian highway. The
motorway features in Italian film history
as the site of many towns and rural
landscapes pictured in neorealist
masterpieces.
This, however, is not the road’s only link to
modern cinema.
What is the name of this highway?
53. Q9.
Tottenham Hotspur’s new billion pound stadium hosts a large variety of food
and beverage services for match going fans. The Goal Line Bar is, for good
reason, well-covered in the news, by virtue of it being Europe’s longest bar.
The stadium also has multiple smaller pubs for fans to grab drinks from; the
name is a play on an action that might be performed on the pitch, to applause
from either section of fans.
Finish this sitter, and tell me what might this name be?
56. Q11.
“Inside” by Bo Burnham has been critically hailed for its music, direction, cinematography, and
presentation of life in the pandemic, all done by Bo inside a room.
Since he is a comedian (and a very good one at that), a lot of the songs are lighthearted and
don’t carry much meaning beyond themselves.
What was a visual gag that Bo set up, using a home appliance, during the song “Sexting”?
62. Q12.
There exists an author primarily specialising in educational books, targeted at school children. He
aims to teach math in a fun way, focusing on non conventional techniques. He is also a connoisseur
of literature, and as such, the names of some of his books are nods to famous works of literature.

strategies for multiplication. The title is a nod the the opening sentence of a famous novel by a
different 19th century British Author.

The term “_____ _______” is thought to have first been applied to the world of basketball by
the assistant executive secretary of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and the

Amanita Muscaria (a.k.a Fly Agaric) is well known in popular culture for being one of those
“trippy” mushrooms, the kind that make you have hallucinations.
Apparently Siberians have been eating these for centuries to have religious experiences,
Vikings have been taking these to help their seafaring ventures.
Eating the flesh of the Amanita muscaria can also reportedly cause Micropsia, a condition in
which objects appear smaller than they really are, making the subject feel larger as a
consequence.
What pop culture phenomena does this provide an explanation for?
