This article analyzes arts-based research as a paradigm and discusses its implications for education. It explores how arts-based research uses artistic methods and expressions to understand phenomena in ways that may complement more traditional research approaches. The article suggests arts-based research could provide new insights for educational research by accessing forms of understanding not attainable through conventional methods alone.
