11. C) Work Employment Permit or “CUENTA AJENA”

Not a problem since you can work for another company.
Not limited to the hiring company who has requested the permit.
The only requirement to renew the permit is to demonstrate a total of 3
months per year worked.
All foreigners holding a residence permit in Spain for a continuos legal
period of 1 year can modify his/her/their status to a “Cuenta Ajena”
permit.

When Spanish local companies hires foreign talent,
we can usually find that the frame time is the
expected:
a) Option 1: direct hiring from abroad – High
Qualified Work Permit (2/3 years):
a) Renewal of 2 years + 2nd renewal until
LongTerm or Citizenship (latinoamericans)
b) Modification to Cuenta Ajena after 1 year
+ Longterm or citizenship.
b) Option 2: hiring from a legal stay situation such
as student:
• Modification to Cuenta Ajena + Renewal +
LT / Citizenship.
• Work internship permit + Cuenta ajena +
LT/Citizenship.
• High qualified permit (and continuing as
option 1).
13. 3. Blue Card – New work permit

Regulated within art. 71 of Entrepreneur law
(same as HQ). Main characteristics:
Characteristics:
a) Level 6 EQF -2MECES(*see photo) or 5
years experience (job position, sector).
• *IT Sector: 3 years of experience sector
or job within previous 7 years.
b) Granted for 3 years.
c) Salary to be confirmed but similar to the
HQ.
d) 3 months to modifiy permit if hired or leave
voluntary / 6 months if the individual was
in disposal of a Blue Card permit at least for
2 years.
e) If the worker had a previous Bcard from
another EU State → convertion if 12
months or 6 months alternatively in more
tan one EU State.
